Ruland's collars are excellent quality and were the best solution for mounting small induction coils placed on postage stamp size circuit boards. Our coils needed to be mounted onto 1/2 inch diameter stainless steel optical posts. Alignment was easy using the flat edge mounting holes of the collars to fasten the coils ( which were mounted on circuit boards ) . Alighment was accomplished by easily slidding the collars up or down along the posts and rotating the collar so that the axis of a rare earth magnet alighned with the axis of each coil. The shipping charges were free, delivery took just two days and the cost of the collars was astonishingly economical given the quality and expertise that went into each collar. I highly recommend Ruland's collars as your mechanical designs requiring good tolerance features and high quality will be met.
