The first-ever pair - Gibraltar G1's were purchased days after their inaugural launch. This pair provided 14 years of faithful, blissful service. The 4 out of 5 star rating for both the G1 pair and the just-delivered set of No. 32's is due to several points. Several years into service, one of the G1's rocker switch failed, with the second unit's rocker several years after that. Unboxing (so far) one of the No. 32s, I was dismayed at the flimsy (and squeaky) nature of the metal-looking side "handles" - not to be used as handles. The decision to make them appear as handles is an admittedly odd choice. They also feel and sound like plastic. Nonetheless, all lifting was made from from underneath the unit as instructed. Second, the two front-to-back feet - which also creaked wjen maneuvering the unit into place - are composed of what seems to be hard plastic. Why, with an otherwise beautiful exterior and state-of-the-art performance, would these two elements not be designed as robust as the rest of units? With the referenced two points aside, I am clearly happy with the purchase and expect the Reference No. 32s will be it for me - that is unless or until the engineers at REL crush the current technology with something equally breathtaking. Love my pair of REL carbon black. My only complaint, often stated by others, is the need for detents on the 3 controls. It would make setups easier and more consistent. Longer term, it would be even better with remote controls.

As it will be sometime before I can properly (completely, accurately) test the subwoofer performance, I can only rate the service to this point. As such, all that I can say is 'terrific'! Thank you REL organization.

It's a good sub in what is a very large enclosure for a sealer 12 inch driver. It's fast and okays fairly low. I wish it were easier to stack.
Nice,fast and helpful Customer Service. they helped me out with connecting my sub to a m6 500i. I bought the t/5x and im satisfied with my purchase only thing I observed is a little hum If I powered it up. But at normal listening level u can barely hear it.
I bought 2 x S/812 subwoofers in white and they are fantastic. Beautifully made and finished product that elevates the sound of my hifi in a way that makes everything just sound better. Not cheap. But great value which is an important distinction. Recently had to replace the grills and the customer support and service was exemplary. It showed my a company that care about both itās products and itās customers. Thank youā¦. . James.
