Tested the T/7x, it blends in very natural however not enough in my large room, need to test t/9x as next step.

When my subwoofer stopped working I contacted customer support. They took the time to help and within 5 days (including a weekend) I had the replacement plate amp fittted. Everything was done effortlessly and professionally.

With the recent need for service work for a relatively new subwoofer unit, I feel that I ought to recognise the amazing support from not just the local dealer but also from REL Support and from where they are! It took just less than 1 week for all parties including a very hard working team at Perth Digital to rectify a mechanical fault. It was a minor fault but disruptive all the same for all those who love music. What is the more important is that the sum total of attention received is worth much much more than the value of the REL subwoofer unit I purchased. To this I can only acknowledge not just an outstanding subwoofer brand name, but what makes it truly great is the support that just comes to live when it is needed. I am now just totally grateful and with this recent assurance , I am convinced that REL subwoofers should always have a place in my hifi set up. For me, we simply cannot do without subwoofers or rather the lower frequency ranges in any true and enjoyable stereo set up. They do mean more to us than we sometimes realise.

I tapped on the support team to help identify costs of replacement parts for a 3rd party purchase of a t9i. They got back to me with a solid response and pricing for the parts we thought were needed. However I eventually just pivoted to a new T/9X and it's an amazing box. I've been playing with the crossover and pint where to pick up and the tech team offered some tips to pair with my KEF R900 set up to try, so that will be my next effort. Very happy with the service and product.

The two s850s work very well with my sonus faber Cremona speakers. I have set the crossover to 40hz, and the s850s deal with low bass. This is very noticeable on MAhler 2, final movement, where there is a low sustained organ pedal with full choir and orchestra above it. The organ is quite distinct and easily handled by the s850s

I began using REL subwoofers a few years back when I purchased a pair of T/9x, in that fancy Italian racing color. They looked gorgeous, almost as nice looking as they sounded. At that time the choice to get the T/9x was at the recommendation from REL after they knew about the room to be used and what accompanying equipment. The REL's sounded great. In time though I realized the room was way too big for the system including the REL's. I replaced the main speakers with a more substantial pair and the sound greatly improved. Seems I hadn't done enough homework and listening as the room still overpowered the system. Not wanting to continue piece meal I opted for floor standing KEF's in the R range and ordered two REL S/812 subwoofers. Wow, the S/812's were amazing, so much so I purchased 4 more to make a line array which is where I am today. REL support assisted in a number of ways getting the line arrays set up and then integrating them with the main speakers. For those thinking about a line array, do it, but realize it isn't set it and forget it. Listening, tweaking, listening, tweaking and with a touch of luck, magic happens. I don't believe a pair of speakers costing twice or more what my speakers and subs cost would come close sound wise to that of a properly set up line array. REL will help you get there.

My red Tx9 is the one piece of audio equipment my wife has begged me to not trade! Sonically it marries well in my smallish difficult room with YG Tors. I have been very impressed by REL's swift and helpful response to setup questions.

I’ve paired two Rel T7/x’s with PMC 26i’s powered by Cambridge M’s. These were not shy of bass depth and response but the change in visceral impact has been staggering - not just the depth but the speed and the ‘seamlessness’ - I don’t hear a speaker and a sub. Amazing output for the size, fit and finish is perfect. Also very easy to set up and dial in, highly recommend the high level connections.
