To raise the bass sound do I raise the cross over and lower the volume the same amount. ( no more then 3 clicks at a time). And the O-180 switch, whats best and when

Once you hear a REL, there’s no going back. The bass is powerful yet refined — it brings the music to life.

When I decided to add a subwoofer to my speaker set-up I didn’t know much about brands, sizing or placement. I asked friends at the audiophile organization I belong to for recommendations. Pretty much everyone I talked to said to go with REL. I checked out the website, and all the instructional videos, and called customer support to confirm I was choosing the right model and size. What sold me finally, was learning to use the speaker-out on my receiver and not the sub-out, thus insuring a blended and musical sub. REL also stands by to help with follow up questions and fine tuning. I couldn’t be happier.

I have a vintage system for which I wanted to add a subwoofer. After much research I decided to go with REL. I had my heart set on a pair of Classic 98s. I was going to buy one at a time as I felt I could afford. After several conversations with Jacob at REL, I decided to step up and go with not one T9X but a pair of them. Jacob has been very helpful. It wasn’t an arbitrary recommendation. He reviewed my odd shaped floor plan, my system, and a video of the room that I sent him and then we came up with the plan. Even though these two subs are worth way more than what I paid for the speakers…. . it’s a NEW GAME! I’m very very pleased with the results in my less than perfect room!

Everything is great

I had an issue with a powered subwoofer I bought over a year ago, and they sent the replacement amp right away and were very helpful and fast about it. It says more about how someone treats you in bad times than good, and REL treated me right. You guys just gained a lifetime customer, thank you!

Excellent service from Alexander. My subwoofer was still covered under warranty and he coordinated getting me a replacement amplifier, really quick. Good to know that there are still companies out there who stand behind their product and their service. BTW, great sounding model, HT1205.

Past response and knowledgeable

Quality products, well made and with superb finish which deliver very good performance. And customer service dept are always quick to respond to any requests for information / advice. Just a pity the new S series are, for the most part, wider, making them a little less room friendly for those of us with average floor space.

I bought the REL S812 to match a pair of Spendor A9 speakers according to REL’s on-line matching software. The combination worked perfectly. I recently to upgrade my speakers to Stenheim Alumine 3. There was no recommendation for pairing with a specific REL subwoofer for the Stenheims which are extremely fast, efficient and accurate speakers. No problem for the S812 keeping pace and adding that last octave of sub base. It just required a little time adjusting the crossover and power level and once again, seamless integration. Highly recommended!
