I've been a Positive Grid user since JamUp first came out on iPad in 2011. Been using a variety of their products ever since. Also early buyer when the Spark first debuted and turned many friends and students onto them. I bought the Spark GO just for teaching students in a group classroom setting, clip it to my guitar strap and I can walk around to each student individually for a 1 on 1 training review of any lesson of the day. An electric guitar and amp is always more interesting to a young beginner guitarist, so it I feel it adds to the show as a teacher, adding that extra Spark that's needed to create the next wave of tomorrows musicians. I was surprised how fast my new pearl Mini was delivered. And just like my other Spark amps, it sounds great. Easy to load on my phone and iPad and was jamming within minutes of unboxing it.

It’s a nice concept but I feel it vibrates too much. Not sure if it’s normal or if I got a faulty one.

I got the Vai version first. After using it for a few months, I bought a second one, because they are such good sounding amplifiers. It is not high volume, perfect for practice, anywhere, because it mutes when the headphone jack is in use, and it is battery powered! The batteries last; I have yet to have them rum down during my long, fun, noodling sessions. 🥰 I am happy with the customizable grille covers that I had made. I use this amp as a preamp for recording guitar now. The Spark Mini has 4, completely adjustable preset positions onboard, user definable, with 40 amp models, 6 inline, effects can be chosen, for each savable preset, from a wide variety of signal processing stomp box type effects, that are good quality, all accessed through the free Spark App. It has a tuner built in and accepts Bluetooth audio from other Bluetooth enabled devices. Spark Mini includes Jam Tracks, via the app, that are great for practicing! The guitar volume and 'Music', or Bluetooth Audio volume have their own volume controls. It sounds like a much bigger amp. I take it with me, in my car, and can jam anywhere I park it! Really, worth the money and much more fun than I had anticipated. Great preamp for mobile recording! USB-C, 3. 5mm TRS and 1/4” TS for outputs cover most needs. It sounds bigger than my Roland Cube, and is preferred, by me.

For transparency I’m not a guitarist but rather a guy who owns a guitar or two. I’ve been dabbling off and on for over 20 years. Over most of those years I’ve primarily played my acoustic guitar just because Its simple. I know I’m never going to in a band or a studio musician . So the idea of getting good sound out of an electric guitar always seemed like something other people did. With their foot pedals and cabinets etc… I really never wanted to put forth the effort to understand how to get sounds or the expense of all the toys. Positive Grid changed all that. I picked up the Steve Via mini to play around with and was pleasantly surprised. It didn’t take a lot of brain energy to set it up. Basically I charged the amp up, plugged my guitar in and was able to play. The amp itself sounds nice and looks good. But the real key to success is the companion AP. I’m amazed how many sounds are available. How I can basically get my guitar to sound like the song I’m playing. It’s incredible and fun.
