A nice portable wood burning pizza oven, but lacks a temperature gauge.
Today I'll be looking at the Pizzello Outdoor Pizza Oven. Outdoor cooking is a passion of mine''it''s the one time that I can get a bit of silence, making it my moment of zen''so when I was offered a wood burning pizza oven for review I pounced on it. So how does this stack up Let''s find out. The build job was actually surprisingly easy. A majority of the unit is put together for you, as you can see in the pictures. You just have to attach the lid to the exhaust pipe, the handles on the doors, the carrying handles, the pipe to the body, and the doors to the body. You do need your own philips head screw driver, but realistically who doesn''t own one of those The only other thing you need to do is bolt the handle to the pizza scraper, which is held by 3 screws and nuts. Really straight forward task. It is a one person job, and even if you have no clue what you''re doing it shouldn''t take more than maybe 20 minutes tops. As for the unit itself, it''s surprisingly small. It was made to be portable, and I will definitely vouch for it being portable. The legs are fold out, and it comes with a nice cover as well. Both front doors have locking mechanisms, so there''s no worry of it suddenly blowing open with a big gust of wind. After building it, I found myself questioning the claim of ~12'' per shelf cooking area just due to how small it looks, but my tape measure confirmed it. Speaking of manufacturer claims, there is one listed in the description that is definitely false. It says you can close the vents in the door, but I can 100% confirm that this is not the case. There is no slider for the door vents. I''m going to assume this was a translation error, but I''m unfortunately going to have to let this discrepancy effect the final score. In terms of qualms with the unit, I''ll point out that I did have some scratches in the finish. Nothing bad enough to make me want to pack it up and send it back, but they are definitely there. As others have pointed out, there is n...

It is somewhat sturdy. Convenient to hold the tank and cooking utensils
Easy to assemble

Easy to assemble
Good little table for cooking on outdoors
It's lightweight so it's easy to move around. We like to cook outside so we needed a table for hot plate, deep fryer, etc. Easy to wipe down. Exactly what we needed.

I love the cart
Cart is very sturdy and easy to assemble. Included assembly tools are much better than most 'tools included'. It's been outside in the weather and no rust or any other signs of weak construction. I had a small service issue and it was resolved.

Works great
Easy to assemble, takes a little trial and error to get the temperature right. But the pizzas are excellent. Used a combination of charcoal and hard wood. Worked great.

Great Pizza Oven
The Pizzello Pizza Oven is a great portable pizza oven! I am a 65 year old woman and I was able to do the simple assembly by my self. It is assembled, except adding the chimney, stone, and ash guard or gas attachment (if using it). It even comes with a s crew driver! I had an issue with the oven and was able to contact the seller, by going to my account, purchased orders, clicked on Pizzello Pizza Oven. Then I clicked on Contact Seller. A rep from the company contacted me within 24 hours, via email. They gave me some pointers. I contacted them several times. They always responded within 24 hours. I noticed that they always emailed me late at night (Pacific Time). They were able to fix the problem and I am very happy. I burned, badly, the first couple pizzas because they cook so fast. I discovered that having the stone as close to the front as possible and turning the pizza every few seconds helps it to not be completely black. Each pizza gets better! When using the gas attachment, turning down the heat, before adding the pizza helped. Also, put your cheese under the other toppings! I love that this Pizzello Pizza Oven came with a pizza peel and a cover. The cover has straps that go under the oven and buckle on the sides. It also has carry straps. You do not even have to remove the chimney pipe, for transporting or covering. Pizzello has thought of everything need to have a great pizza experience.

Nice product - challenge to assemble
Overall, I am happy with the final product. Machining and assembly instructions were very precise ... EXCEPT for attaching the side panels. Aligning the panels to the frame was a challenge - it appeared there was an attempt to pre-drill holes in the panels, but they did not align with the holes in the frame. I was able to align the side panels after drilling holes. We are very happy with the end product. Manufacturer did reply to my initial concerns - I appreciate there prompt attention.

Practice makes perfect. Don't expect your first try to be perfect.
I like the pizza oven but directions could have been a little more clear. Inspect it when you first get it to make sure all of the parts are there. We were missing the battery cap for the igniter and it should state for sure which battery is needed. It takes a AA if you have the same question.

It has a learning curve
So far, I am satisfied with this pizza oven. It fits nicely on top of the included firebox base...but it sits really low then, and I am not sure it would be safe to put it on a table When used this way, I found it tricky to get the temperatures in the box to be high enough for a good crust unless I found a way to block the side vents to increase heat going up instead of out of the sides. I later tried it on top of my gas grill, which placed it up where I really needed it to be for ease of use. Again, it took a bit of time to learn how to get it up to around 700F...but once I did get it nice and HOT, I was able to make some really tasty pizzas. I just wish they could be larger since this is most decidedly a single-serve pizza sized oven.

Great oven! Great customer service as well!
I have used this oven three times and it works very well. It was easy to assemble and it serves its purpose as far as cooking pizzas. Tonight when I was making our third pizza the stone cracked while the pizza was on the stone. I have a pizza stone that I have used in our personal oven for the last couple of years and I have had no issues with it. Update: the seller reached out promptly and offered to refund the cost of the stone or send me a replacement. I appreciated their response very much! Great customer service!

Makes pizza nice and crispy!!!
I cooked this pizza with propane. The chimney helps to make the heat even inside. The trick is to make sure it is fully heated BEFORE you put the pizza in. My pizza took a couple rotations during heating just to make everything crisp and even. This is very portable and with practice can make some great pizzas. Next, I will have to try it without propane. I like having both options. Trust you found this review honest and helpful:-)

Best customer service ever!
This fire pit looks awesome on our deck once we got it put together. we had one small assembly difficulty but after contacting the seller it was quickly resolved. The seller went above and beyond the call of duty in my opinion. You can tell they care about their customers. A plus plus!

Great gift
This was a Father's Day gift and was the perfect gift. It is super easy to put together and very easy to use. It did burn the bottom of the pizza a little bit on the first try but once you get the temperature down it works perfectly.
