I had shopped around locally at several Toyota dealers for the liftgate struts. I discovered old struts were sold with brackets and were side specific. The new struts are made to be used on either side and require separate purchase of mounting brackets which are still side specific. The problem while searching locally was I couldn't get a consistent answer, or price, about what strut and bracket part numbers I needed. I addition I was told the brackets were on backorder, but no one could confirm when they would be expected to come in. I searched some more on the internet and discovered Norm Reeves Toyota. When I contacted the parts department, I spoke to the parts manager who took the time and was able to confirm what parts were necessary. He did say the brackets were on backorder, and none were available in the US. He indicated the system showed where they were expected in 1-2 months. He also explained why the brackets were not available. In addition, the price was far better than any other Toyota parts department I had contacted. I was later informed the brackets would not be available by May asking if I still wanted to continue with my order. As I needed to replace the struts, I confirmed that the order should stay active. Finally, after 3 more months had passed, I received a notice that my order shipped. As can be expected, I was extremely happy to shortly be receiving it. I would give this portion of the ordering process a 5 STAR rating. But then the not so good. The order was shipped in 2 boxes, the boxes that the struts came in. One of the boxes also had the brackets in it. Neither box was well packaged. The struts were wrapped in a thin layer of bubble wrap, but no other material was put in boxes to keep them from bouncing around during transit. Ordered parts on the 10th, they shipped on the 30th. Called 4 times - 2 of which I was told the parts were sitting there ready to be shipped. Still a week before I was notified they actually shipped. Currently waiting for parts to show up.

I wasn't initially informed about a backorder delay, so I called to check status. After that contact, everything proceeded well and I received the part quickly.

It has taken a long time to get my order from 6/21/26 to 7/15/26

Told me one week the part would ship after finding it on the to-go cart, then still had not shipped a week later. Had to gripe until someone overnight shipped the part.

The parts were ordered on 06/29 and I don’t know that they ever would have shipped had I not called the parts department to ask 07/10. I don’t know if these parts weren’t already in stock or had to be shipped in but someone should be keeping track to see if parts need to go out. The prices keep me coming back but I hope you guys will improve your shipping times.

waited over a month for a part they had "in stock" and had to call twice to see why it hadnt been delivered yet and when i finally got it the part was damaged. they did send me a new one within 2 days however it doesnt make up for the rest of it.

On June 20th 2026, I placed an online order for a part for my Rav4. As off today July 8th (more than 2 weeks), I still haven't received the part. Spoke to 2 different people in parts with no luck. Got a hold of Enrique, a manager in part, who was able to ship out the parts to me.

Late costumer care

Their parts pricing is competitive. I wish they updated the part listing and order status with estimated delivery time. I was not sure if I was going to get it and was going to cancel my order and get it from somewhere else. I finally got it delivered after calling them twice for an update.
