The "Home Try-On" option really caught my attention. Normally I wouldn't bother to use a service like this. However, I went ahead and ordered the kit. The charge for delivery was just $1. 95. In the back of my head I was thinking that I would eventually get a "missed the fine print" surcharge. That did not happen. I received the kit within about five days of ordering, I tried each pair and luckily found a pair of frames that I liked. I placed an order the next day for the frame I had chose, including a prescription lens fitting. The kit came with a self addressed large envelope for the kit to be returned. I received an email from a sales representative within 24 hours of ordering online. They requested more information for my prescription--the pupillary distance. The original prescription did not include this measurement. After a brief conversation the sales representative pointed me to an app on PlayStore that makes that measurement easy to take at home. I was finished in 5 minutes and emailed and texted the measurement. Super Simple!

We ordered my son's glasses, provided all requested information, and sent in his vision prescription recently obtained from our local eye doctor. We waited for 2. 5 weeks for them to arrive. My son was so excited to get them to wear during his upcoming hockey and baseball games. However, the glasses received from RecSpecs contained ZERO prescription. When I called I was informed they failed to put his Rx in the lens. So the sports glasses were useless. He was so very disappointed and now we wait for their lab to try to get it right a 2nd time. . .

Got a pair of their glasses from my optometrist, however, no strap was included and I was told they didn’t have any. So I reached out the company directly as I could not find the strap for the glasses on the website. In less than 48hrs, got an e-mail back with options to choose from. Made my choice gave some information and bam! Order done and parts on their way! Everything done in less than 3 days! Would have been 2 if I checked my e-mail sooner. Even without the strap, luv the glasses! Took for a spin on the bike and they are great and don’t gender my view as much as my old pair I was using.

Ordering online was simple and easy. Customer service was great and got back to me when I was missing something. We will definitely be back. Less expensive than dealing with a optical stro.

Outfitter Team, I received my prescription sport safety eyewear and have put them to the test on the court. I am a racquetball and pickleball player and instructor and chose the single vision prescription lenses that are frameless on the bottom (Impact Carbon Black Narrow). I absolutely love them. They are just perfect! They fit my face, stay on even when sweaty and running, don’t fog up, are very sturdy, and… look great! And, the case is very nice too😉. Bought the impact frame narrow for pickleball. They feel great. RX right on . So I ordered sunglasses. Same frame, different color. Progressive lenses for every day use. . Questions are answered by real people which is incredibly reassuring. This company is great.

I have worn Rec Specs for years. . . from before I needed correction until I had to have trifocals. Now, after cataract surgery I'm back to standard lenses with readers added for close work. Jeanette was great help on the chat line ordering new lenses with readers to replace the old prescription lenses. The frames on RecSpecs have always been top notch and very durable. I ordered lenses that needed a prisms prescription. Contacted Optics to confirm they could accommodate my request. Answer was yes. However, the lenses were made without the prisms. I contacted Optics and explained the problem. Operator told me she had to check and would get back to me. Within two hours I received a call and that the prescription was not correct and would be receiving a new prescription at no cost to me. This company is managed by professionals that stand by their product. Other companies should handle problems like Optic Outfitters. Do not fear when ordering anything from these people. I needed to order wraparound sunglasses with great UV protection because I have AMD and need to protect my eyes. I called Optics Outfitters and spoke to Ron, one of their customer service representatives. He recommended I try out several frames to see which one I would like best. I wanted to see if I could select a frame and then lenses and do it before going on vacation with the grandkids to Florida. I only had a week and a half before leaving and did not expect to be able to do it all in time. Well, to my surprise, Ron felt that if I selected the frames the day I received them that he could expedite the process and mail the final sunglasses in time. I received them on a Monday and I selected the frame and called them. Ron was off that day but Beth took care of my order. Both Ron and Beth followed and tracked my order to be able to expedite the shipment.
