Great mattress! I selected the firm one and it is perfect, very happy with our online Bear mattress purchase.

Elite King medium. Has a very soft 2"+ upper portion of foam. The spring supported portion is considerably more firm. The upper foam portion was too soft/thick creating a neck wrenching feel being a stomach sleeper with a pillow.

It's tough to order a mattress without trying it. I returned mine, but here are the pros and cons of the extra firm Elite Hybrid. Pros: -Nice and firm (good if you prefer a firm mattress) -Thick and feels like a quality mattress. -Did not trap heat which is great. -Impossible to reach a person on the phone, but initiating the return was easy over email. Cons: -I was hoping for better motion isolation. I could feel all of my partner's movements. -Not as much of a memory foam feel on top as I was expecting. -It felt like a traditional spring mattress at 3 times the price - but it's a pretty nice spring mattress if that's what you want. -Somewhat difficult to schedule a return if you don't live in an urban area.

Kinda wearing in faster than I’d like to see also softer than I expected. Overall happy with the purchase and do get a great night sleep now.

The bed has been great so far! Not too firm but not super soft.

I really wanted to love it but I still wake up in pain (shoulder) and hot. I do love that it’s made of clean materials here in the US and I definitely recommended it to all of my friends and family, it just isn’t right for me. I wish it was softer but that’s my fault for not reading the firmness guide. Once I have a higher budget, I think I’d like to try one of the other softer mattresses. Also side note on shipping, I know they don’t control it but the shipping company left it in the middle of my driveway. I had to move it from my driveway, onto the sidewalk, and up the porch stairs by myself and it was not easy (5’2 female here haha)

I love my bear mattress. I’ve been having back issues and this mattress has helped me get a good nights sleep.

I had ordered the wrong firmness on the 1st mattress order and after the 30 nights (was told that I had to wait at least 30 nights before a return could be started), contacted support and they issued a pickup and refunded the money in a timely manner. I did order another hybrid (correct firmness this time) and it has been great. I weight right at 230 lbs. and the Elite Hybrid (queen) and comfort level firm does not sag and when I sit on the edge it does not feel like you're going to slide off the edge. for a side sleeper this mattress has been great. The Premium sleep bundle came with the new cooling pillows, and they work great. I used to wake up with the pillowcase soaked in sweat, not with these pillows. they are cool to the touch all the time. I have tried other foam mattress and other mattress in a box (for higher price) and came across Bear mattress when my wife needed a mattress for her bed. I have had the new mattress since Aug. 24th, 2022, and it has been just over a month. if this mattress holds up like my wife's mattress (been a year and a half) and her bear pro is still like new holding up great. I would highly recommend this company; their customer support is spot on as long as you contact them during the 120-night trial period. I would recommend the firm mattress for people over 200 lbs. I also like that Bear gives a Discount for Military, First Responders, Teachers and Healthcare. When I find a company that has a great product and stands behind it, I will keep using that company.

I still can’t decide. My back still hurts, but not my husbands. I expected more luxury cushion between me and the springs. I bought a feather topper to assist, but meh. I don’t think that’s helping either. I spent a lot of money and I am not sure the mattress is working any better for me than our old temperpedic that I hated. Still deciding. Most mornings I still have a backache and my pressure points are sore. Maybe it’s just me.

Bed was of good quality, but more firm than medium-firm for my partner and I (back/side sleeper; side/stomach sleeper). Return process went pretty smoothly. Would recommend for those looking for a nice firm mattress!

Having allowed ourselves to sleep on an old inner-spring with completely worn edge support for far too long, we have found many restful nights of sleep with our new Bear.

I changed this and nothing else and so I KNOW it is this mattress. I am about 300 lbs and 5'11 and my partner is similarly sized, so we are big people and needed something "firm." It doesn't feel firm at all, in the best way. It is a complete dream and so cozy to sleep in. If you are afraid, as a big person to order to firmest mattress, don't be. This mattress has changed our sleep game. Comfortable from night one. We couldn't be happier with the purchase. My sciatica is literally gone. If you are on the fence on buying this, do it. We are SO SO happy.

If you like a firm bed, you may love this. But for me, it's a lot firmer than I expected. It feels like a hard mattress, with a thin layer of cushion on top.

This is by far the best mattress I have ever slept on. It is a straight forward as that. BEST

So far my Bear mattress has been awesome! I have been having trouble sleeping, I think mostly because my old mattress was too soft. I bought the Bear Original mattress and have been sleeping much better, as the bed has a nice firmness to it. I also loved that Bear sent a sheet set and pillows with the mattress for a pretty low price. Can't go wrong with this bed.
