I love the firmness of my Bear Original mattress. I don't like that it does not have a tight top. I don't like sinking a bit into it. It needs a tight top so you don't sink in. I only weigh 98 lbs and I sink a bit. I always enjoy very firm mattresses, and prefer to sleep on top of my mattress. The mattress is of great quality. I will be putting a topper on it, so I can enjoy it for many years to come. Perfect for spinal support and restorative sleep.

Why have we waited so long to buy one?

At first I wasn’t sure about this mattress. My husband wanted firm and is a primarily a back sleeper. I like a little soft and cradle feel and am a side sleeper. The first night I though it is too hard as I was preparing to sleep. However, I slept all night and work up energized in the morning and no body pains. My husband loved it immediately and also woke the same way. After having it for a couple of months it is the best sleep every night so far. I sleep all night and do not wake sore. The pillows s are amazing and the protector sheet and sheets are perfect too. I’m so glad my friend recommended this brand to us. I did not hesitate when I saw I could swap the mattress if it didn’t work. So glad we went with firm!!!!

Although a little softer than expected, we are loving our Bear king size mattress. It is luxurious and so so welcoming. The workmanship is excellent, and we would recommend Bear matresses to our friends!

I have the bear elite hybrid in plush. When other mattresses were causing me pain, bear has relieved the pain in my shoulders. I'm also a hot sleeper and have had zero sweaty nights.

It's a great mattress, the only thing is that I waited a month to get mine. Other than that is been good.

After repeated flare-ups of a pinched nerve causing pain in my back and arm - and unsuccessful long-term relief with pain meds - I figured it was time to replace our 10-yr old mattress. A friend recommended Bear, and so I'm glad we went for it. It was our first online mattress-buying experience, and it was painless (and helped me become painless!). The first night on the mattress actually made my back and arm hurt more, which was really upsetting. But I didn't appreciate that it takes a night or two for your body to adjust to a new mattress - one that actually supports your body, in this case. My husband and I are both ~200 lbs, and are back to sleeping through the night and waking up pain-free on the Elite Hybrid. I was also really impressed that Bear sent along a mattress cover (highly recommend), sheet set, and two nice pillows. We'll definitely be buying from them again.

No complaints here with our bear original! Our youngest agrees! Great support and feels good knowing it’s made safe! Arrived quickly and easy to unpack!

This mattress is incredible. We got the medium support. The topper is soft and welcomes you to bed every time you lay down. The springs offer support that means that you still feel great when you get up in the morning. I have spent so many extra hours in bed reading because this bed is so comfortable! We upgraded to king size bed and I could not recommend it more! No more log rolling in the same spot, no more being stuck in awkward positions because the dogs are taking up the entire foot of the bed. Between the king size and the hybrid elite style it's a miracle I ever leave this bed!

Bought this mattress for a spare room but tried it for a few nights. I love it, slept great. My out of town company said it was very comfortable. I really did my research to purchase a mattress without fiberglass.

This mattress was purchased for our guest room. My mother-in-law is quite picky about not too soft not too firm mattresses and used to end up sleeping on our couch not this time! She said it was so comfy and all the other guests agree. Great purchase love that the company is supporting US manufacturing!

I was skeptical about ordering a bed in a box, but after reading all the great reviews, I decided to give it a try. I am very happy with my choice! The bed is comfortable, and it does not at all feel like I am sinking into a foam mattress. It is comfortable and supportive.

I really like this mattress. I am a side sleeper with back pain and this mattress has helped me achieve a better night's sleep.

This mattress is so comfortable! Every mattress I’ve had before takes some adjustment time. Not this one. From morning one and since I woke up without back pain or soreness. I love this mattress.

I ordered the firm mattress because I can actually sleep on the floor with no problem. Yeah, I also do not sleep with a pillow and could feel the coils at the back of my head. My husband has been unable to sleep in our bed due to back pain and has been sleeping in the recliner. He had no back pain after sleeping on this firm mattress so we will add memory foam on top of the firm mattress. I’m very sensitive to smells so there was a chemical spell the first four days and I slept in another room.

Bed is very comfortable. We are glad we exchanged it for a firm as the med/firm was too soft.

Initially, purchased the plush version but ultimately replaced with the medium or luxury firm version. I’m around 195lbs and sleep on my side. While the soft or plush is comfortable for side sleeping, not so great for back sleepers which my wife is mostly. I think the medium is a great middle ground covering all. As for the exchange process, it couldn’t have been easier and the customer service was always great anytime I needed to reach out. Would definitely recommend to others.
