Having used a DD8L junior for many years in an outbuilding I bought this Arete one after contacting the supplier for a recommendation for the house. I live in a very humid area in a 50 year old house that , as far as I know , has never had a dehumidifier running in it. I am very pleased with the performance of this unit and can notice the difference in indoor humidity and air quality after only one week. It is an initially expensive investment but I would highly recommend it as being as essential as a fridge or washing machine or any “ white goods” item that we all take for granted.
