It was straightforward and I appreciate the convenience of being able to take a test without having to schedule an appointment.

The information is there but the app is clunky and poorly laid out. Forcing a quiz after each small section does not add value to my study routine and I often find it disruptive.

I'm almost through the OUPV-Six pack before moving on to the Masters Upgrade. Overall, it's done the job. I especially appreciate being able to listen and/or watch a video for each webpage of the course. I have been frustrated sometiems with a feeling that the course creators assumed I had more prior experience with boats, the ocean, etc. than I actually have. Part of this feels like the product of the tradition of seamanship, which at times feels like 'the old guys club' or, alternately, a prestigious tradition I'm excited to be a part of and am literally being given access to but. . . maybe the only way to put it is sometimes is that the content needs to be dumbed down a bit more. I appreciate that's difficult because the curriculum and expectations of the Coast Guard itself may be a little outdated. Like I said, overall, it's getting the job done. If I can comprehend how to do chart-plotting without a live human explaining it, you've clearly done something right. Thank you.

The mariner learning system was an excellent source to learn how to become a captain Captain Mike was very intuitive and very structured with the way everything was taught. I highly recommend the Mariners learning system.

Great system to obtain your deck license renewal!

Topics are well written and study guides are helpful. The videos will not play on my iMac, but I was able to play them on Mac Book Pro. However, I had higher expectations for the videos. The quizzes at the end of each section contain questions not covered in the lesson. Not a big deal because you can take the quizzes as many times as you want to get a passing score. I am not far along in the course but they sent me a review request, so this is it so far
