I did a sleep test 10 or 15 years ago. I had to hook 15 wires and have a large tube in my mouth. It was not fun. The Lofta sleep test is easy to do.

Overall, I found the in home sleep test experience with Lofta clear, affordable, and easy. When I first attempted the test, I had an unrelated health issue that prevented me from sleeping. Upon contacting support they were prompt in getting back to me, and provided clear instructions and next steps. When we concluded a new device had to be sent, I was able to get it overnight! The only reason I am not rating the experience 5 stars is because the finger sensor caused some discomfort around the cuticle area for all fingers I tried.

My doc ordered an at-home test from another provider that showed concerning desaturations, but I couldn't get an appointment at the sleep clinic for more than 9 months. Not wanting to suffocate in my sleep, I ordered the test from Lofta and had a brand new machine and all of the accessories within 2 weeks including one delivery snafu on the part of Fedex. My prescription was for an APAP, but I ended up ordering the Aircurve based on some interesting results in my report just in case I'd need the additional functionality. Lofta immediately emailed to confirm my choice of machine and then packaged everything up and shipped without any issues. They were friendly and helpful at every stage of our interactions and the process has been completely painless, with the exception of getting used to sleeping with an elephant trunk hanging from the front of my face. I like that they emailed me my (lifetime) prescription and the full sleep report. I did keep my sleep clinic appointment and can show these documents to my new sleep doctor when I eventually meet them. They do not work with insurance. This didn't concern me, because it also means I didn't have to meet any compliance minimums or fight over adjusting pressure settings. I'm paying for everything out of pocket which isn't ideal, but I'm not sure if there is any amount of money I wouldn't pay to have good sleep after years and years of deprivation. I submitted my receipt and was reimbursed by my FSA, so at least it was money free of income tax. The machine comes with an SD card already installed, which I appreciated because I am using an open source computer program to troubleshoot my own therapy. I didn't realize this and purchased one, but it's always nice to have backups of things. Speaking of backups, I purchased and really like the resupply kit. I'm so pleased I went with Lofta.
