Valuable Service
Very good service. For obvious reasons the number of helmets included in the report is limited, but there are a sufficient number to give an idea of which of a manufacturer's sizes are likely to fit you. The specific helmet I bought was not included in the report. However there were sufficient other models from the manufacturer included that I got an idea of what size might work. The LidPicker report and the manufacturer's website suggested a Large for my measurements. The large was way too tight. I returned it for an XL which is perfect. It is sufficiently tight that it will likely fit perfectly once it is worn in. This is not to say that the LidPicker service is wrong. All heads are different, even with the same measurement. I think the LidPicker service is very valuable in narrowing down the search for a new lid and I would use it again.

Won't replace trying on helmets in person.
I guess I expected more in the way of a "best fit" recommendation, instead of the generic fit in the PDF. I ordered a helmet based on the PDF and it wasn't even close in fit.

Great assist finding well fitting helmet
I've used lidpicker twice and it helped a great deal to find a helmet that fit really well w out having to try on dozens of sizes & brands.

Found the perfect helmet with lidpicker
Extremely useful report. Finally found a solution for that hot spot on my forehead. I had a long oval head and lidpicker helped me find the perfect helmet! Much appreciated!

Excellent
I was struggling for well over two months trying to find the right helmet. Everyone has recommendations but could never give me my ideal match. After looking online I found lid pickers and sent in my measurements. I literally got a response the same day of helmets that would fit me best. Low and behold, I pick out the helmet listed as ideal and wouldn’t ya know, after a 4 hour ride not a single hotspot. This should honestly just become a standard all stores use before buying new helmet.

The service was quicker than
The service was quicker than I expected. There are no dealers in my area who stock helmets for riders with long oval heads. This will make replacing my helmet easy.

From measurement submission to receiving
From measurement submission to receiving an 11-page took only a couple of hours. Twice. My first report came with a recommendation to remeasure, as my measurements were uncommon. (The 2nd changed only slightly.) Armed with the report I could see how much shapes vary between sizes of the same model helmets, and which would and would not fit me well. I recommended this service!

The report was detailed and helped guide me but, in the end, I had to go to a motorcycle store and try on helmets anyways. Not an issue with your report, all helmets are different. I thought it was a great idea but too much variety in the helmet world to be accurate. I did not want to keep sending helmets back and forth to you.

Great service, wish they had LS2 helmets in their database.
Lid picker helped me learn what helmets are most likely to fit me. Due to my long oval head, there are only a few helmets that work well for me. However, I was disappointed by the lack of coverage of LS2 helmets in particular, since this brand appears to have a few models that work for long ovals like me. I also suspect that another datapoint that needs to be considered is cheekbone width or something along those lines after some experiences with an HJC RPHA 90s. They categorize it as round-ish. Revzilla categorizes it as long oval. While it does not fit me (confirming that revzilla's rating does not capture my fit) I suspect this helmet, strangely would fit rounder heads or long oval but narrow cheekbone heads, but not long oval, wide cheekbones, like me. Since this service is most likely to be used by people who have trouble finding helmets, I can't overstate the value of emphasizing that they should have as much data as possible for models and brands at the outer edges of the bell curve. In the end, even with the available data, I was able to learn a lot about what works for me and, for now, I have postponed my purchase decision until I can try a neotec II in person, which is probably the *only* modular that might fit me.

They found my helmet
Thousands of helmets and lidpicker is able to find me one that fits. I have an extremely long and large head.

Great way to efficiently pick out a helmet
Amazing way to cut down on trying numerous brands, and the ONLY way you can possibly shop line. They recommended a KLIM in small (I've never purchased a small in my life) and while it's not broken in yet, I think it's going to be the best fitting helmet I've ever had.

Buy it. Use it. Good luck on your next helmet.
The process is well thought out. You receive the wooden caliper and a link to directions on how and what to measure. Once measurements are submitted, a report is received with data on helmets vs you measurements. It took me a while to understand the data, but overall, I find this to be super valuable. Helmet fit isn’t straight forward and after you ride in it an hour or two, they usually can’t be returned. I’ve found wearing it around your house isn’t like riding in it. I still struggle with some of the data were multiple helmet sizes are “green” or in range for me, but overall, I would recommend this tool.

Good but still some trial and error required
Decided on a Nolan helmet based on the LidPicker report. Report suggested Med and Large would both fit me, with slightly better fit with the Med. Ordered the Med and was way too small. Had to return it for a Large and it is a great fit. So in the end a success, but not 1st pass. Was also disappointed the report did not cover the HJC RPHA helmets. Barring an opportunity to try on lots of helmets at a store, I recommend this service.

Resulted in perfect purchase
I purchased my new helmet largely based on the fit recommendations of Lid Picker. I bought it and immediately wore it on a 2500 mile trip. They were spot-on with their recommendations.

Helpful, but no panacea.
It was helpful to get a general size/shape recommendations. However, for me and my large head, I found the "Ideal" recommendations to be way too tight, and the next size up to still be too snug to be an all day helmet. Lid Picker certainly helped zero in on a helmet, but there is no substitute for actually trying it on.

After receiving my report, I walked into a store and was able to buy the first helmet I tried on. This saved me time and infection risk. The pictures of how to measure the head could be clearer. There could be a metric option for measurements. But these are nitpicks.

An excellent and unique service
An excellent alternative to trying on helmets. Most bike shops these days don't stock a lot of helmets, especially if you're looking for a specific type (like ADV/Dual Sport). Lid picker allows you to effectively tap into online vendors and make informed choices. I was able to get a wide selection of helmet brands and price points in my search for a new Dual Sport helmet. LidPicker is associated with the MotorcycleGear.com folks and purchasing the service gets you a $15 discount voucher from them. There is no commitment to buy from MotorcycleGear; the helmet I wanted was on a three-week back order. I ordered my helmet from another vendor. Shipping was fast. The reports generated by your sizing info arrive in a couple of days and show up as an email attachment from Lid Picker; they are significant in their scope. The "grading" criteria of the report are explained and if you have any questions you can email the folks at LidPicker.

Best Idea Since...
I have a very unusually shaped head and it's also small. Almost no helmets fit me. When you add that there are almost no helmet shops anywhere near where I live, so no trying helmets on before buying, it's really important to know what helmets will fit. I had ordered several helmets already online and sent them all back because of poor fit. Then I noticed the Lid Picker service on motorcyclegear.com. Their guy Aaron has measured many (not all mind you) helmets for shape and circumference. They send you a caliper and measuring tape to measure the length, width, and circumference of your head. Aaron then takes your data and feeds it into his lid picker program which then generates a report on which helmets will and will not fit you, and also what size you should order. The bad news was that the helmet I wanted to buy just did not work with the shape of my head. The good news was I was able to order a quality helmet that fits perfectly. They will also generate an updated report at no additional cost if you measure your head again and get different dimensions. I highly recommend Lid Picker.
