It's been a few months since I used lidpicker and I'm so happy I did! Because of them I was able to find a helmet that fit my head perfectly and it's so much more comfortable and saved so much time! A motorcycle helmet that fits your head based on circumference, length and width is much safer as well!

If you have ever had the need the break in a helmet then lid picker will help narrow the field to models that won’t need a whole lot of it. It takes a little time to get the answer back, but that’s because there’s a person behind the website. That improves the results. They’re also responsive to email queries. With the investment that goes into a new helmet, it’s a small price for good information. Until 3d head scans and custom liners are mainstream lid picker is the next best thing.

Was well worth the cost to me. I don’t have a lot of choices available locally to try so it was nice to take some of the guesswork out. It took me 2 different sizes to get the right fit but now that I understand more about shell sizes I could have made the right choice in one try based on lid picker

The Lidpicker kit works well, although it helps to have someone else do the measuring. I got three measurements to confirm the technique. The report makes sense. I was determined to have a long oval head, which I suspected. There aren’t many helmets made for that shape, but I plan to try some of the ones suggested. My only complaint is that not all recent models are included on the report, for example the latest Schuberth C5. Still, it’s good to know where to start.

There was no information on the helmet model I was most interested in so the report was useless for me.

All good. We did utilize the report and tried 2 helmets before we got a good fit. The 2nd one worked but surprisingly enough it wasn’t listed as ‘ideal’. It was shown as ‘in range’. But we’re happy with it. Thank you.

Lid Picker noticed some oddities in my measurements and made sure they were accurate before refining the helmet list. I'd recommend their service to anyone trying to buy a helmet.

Very happy with my Lidpicker helmet. I bought a helmet that more or less checked all the boxes. It was a helmet that I probably would not have tried without out the recommendation. In the style I wanted, I only had two choices and one was out of stock everywhere I looked. Bought the Nolan and I love it. I’ve always had trouble finding a helmet to fit my long oval head but the Lidpicker worked great for me. Highly recommended.

Fantastic service and super helpful staff. This is a really awesome thing that they offer. My only set back is I wish their were more styles of helmets on the final list. I wear a lot of vintage style helmets. It would be cool to see more variety. But it for sure with the cost. Even to get an idea of what shape your head is without trying on 800 helmets.

The list of helmets is anything but exhaustive, the measurements are way off and datas are out of date. I paid for the service and am in the same situation than before

Lidpicker takes the guess work out of getting a helmet online. And when you’re making a decision that might save your life you really do not want to guess! I have a kinda funny shaped head and have had trouble getting a good fitting helmet in the past. Lidpickers service was fast, accurate, thorough. Nailed it!

Was more accurate than I expected. Both my HJC's helmets were listed, and the fit on the chart was extremely close to the real fit of the helmets.

Service: The service was great. The customer service representative was helpful and responsive. They answered all of my questions and were patient with me. Report: The report was not very user friendly. The majority of helmets listed were unpopular helmets. The report was a PDF that contained a screenshot of an HTML table. This made it difficult to read and navigate because you can't filter. Accuracy: The report was not very accurate. If the helmet size was off, it did not tell me how much it was off or why it was off. This made it difficult to choose the right helmet size. Overall: Overall, I was not satisfied with the report. The service was great, but the report was not user friendly or accurate. I would not recommend this service to others.

It arrived, easy to use, and the results were easy to read. The helmet I purchased fits great.

Decided to try the Lidpicker system after a "professional" in a big box motorcycle store told me a certain Shoei was a good fit and would break in. I left the next day for a 1500 mile trip and had nothing but headaches. It was almost impossible to remove. I was impressed by Lidpicker's extensive list of helmets that were an ideal match for my head measurements. The HJC helmet I chose from the list fit my crown perfectly. Rode with it 900 miles and loved it. Motorcyclegear.com's price was hundreds of dollars cheaper than the big box cycle store. The only thing I might add is the system does not measure cheek size. My cheeks are fat due to medication. I got skinnier check pads and the fit is perfect now. Will definitely use Lidpicker when I get my next helmet. Highly recommend it.

This is a good service and well worth the price. The report came very fast after I submitted it. More than anything it gives you and idea of what helmets to not even consider. There were a few helmets I was interested in that were not on the report. Understandably, they can't have every helmet listed. I did buy an Arai Ram X and an Arai XD4 for intermediate to long oval head. The chart said they both were in range. As always, you do need to try helmet on. My wife needs a new helmet now and I will submit her measurement in to see what comes up. I do recommend Lid Pickers.

I appreciate that there's a service like this out there. And while I'm sure it works well for some head shapes, it did nothing for me as a long oval. With only a couple of helmets that I've found that actually fit me well, I was hoping Lid Picker would help me zero in on a few more. After double and triple checking my measurements, my report arrived about thirty minutes later. My excitement turned to irritation when it told me the Bell Custom 500, a helmet that's ridiculously wide on me, like wearing a globe on my head, was a perfect fit. There were several other examples of the report being just plain wrong to the point that I just didn't trust the it any longer. I would have rather saved my money and just tried on helmets in person. Which is what i ended up doing. Maybe it's worked for some. I'm sure it works great if you're an intermediate oval or round oval head. But if you're those head shapes, you've got a million helmets to choose from as it is. It's a good start that seems like It could be vastly improved as far as value and functionality. I'd like to see it as a live service that's updated every year with verified measurements (not just going by the companies' size charts) of both old models and new models. At this point, I'm not going to put any more money toward it in a couple of years just to see if they've added more helmets.

Helped cut down the amount of helmets to try on significantly. Found my perfect fit.

Worked good, not sure if I have a weird shaped head, but I really only had 4-5 helmets that were ideal fits. Overall, would use this again.
