Helmet selection was disappointing. I expected to see more. Would not recommend

The kit was very useful in measuring my head, particularly the shape, and not just the circumference. The sunglasses were great too.

Very, very helpful. Wish I went right for the personal report instead of picking from the generic ratings on the site. Pay the man up front and don't waste your time and money on returns. They want you to get it right the first time too. Don't forget to add your personal experience with other helmets in the comment section. Prediction for me was spot on. TY.

Great product, takes most of the guess work out of choosing a helmet. It really does work..

I have a funny shaped head apparently, and my last experience finding a helmet that fit cost me a lot of time and money. So I was THRILLED this service existed. I suggest taking all of the measurements 3 times because the numbers can be variable. Based on the results I had very few models to choose from, which confirmed my funny shaped head theory. I would up buying a helmet much larger than I have before, and just swapped out the cheek pads and I have a helmet that fits without an immediate headache. I was able to check the list of the discontinued helmets and was pleased to find that my old helmet was on there as a good fit. So that confirms the service works. My wife was due for a new helmet as well, and she got the helmet she wanted with no problems. I took off a star because interpreting the results is not easy. I am used to working with large datasets and having to constantly rate one attribute based on the values of attributes. I still found this confusing! Having the shape of the helmet in green doesn't mean it will fit, because you have to consider 2 other parameters as well. Nevertheless, the other info they provide is essential. I can't afford the the $500+ helmets so it was easy to rule those out, and I was only looking for a full face with an internal sun visor.

Takes the guess work out of buying a helmet online. Best $5 I’ve spent on motorcycling.

Excellent report, great service, this is a no kidding analysis with six pages of helmets brands models and sizes to review, for your measurements. Ordered and got my report in less than 24 hours. Knowing your length and width compared to just the circumference of a brand’s size is crucial to preventing the red hotspots on your head. Invested in the kit three years ago for my first helmet sizing, and remeasured this year to upgrade. Five bucks is nothing to save yourself the frustration of taking the wrong helmet back to the shipping store, and waiting for another size. Got my new helmet, a Shoei, first time the right size, no returns. Order now, you won’t regret it.

I have a weird head shape. This service allowed me to find a helmet that fit perfect on the first try. I plan on using again when I need a new helmet. It was much more convenient than buying from a store since they often don't have the helmet I want.

I had never been able to find a helmet that fit my head in my 20 years of riding. I always had to modify them even after hours and hours of research. I utilized the lid picker service and ended up with two of the best fitting helmets of my riding career. Couldn’t be happier.

The evaluation parameters based on head measurement are not well explained i.e. Ideal, Slightly Narrow etc.head circumference : Center of Range etc.; and length and width: In Range, Out of Range etc.. I assume Out of Range means the helmet won’t fit even though the helmet shape may be classified as Slightly Narrow and the circumference classified as Center of Range.As far as circumference, I wondered if you went down from Center of Range if that helmet would fit snugger but okay; however that column remained blank. Since most shops carry limited sizes and sending helmets back costs $7 a pop this trying on process gets pricey. But with all of that said, this service does keep you from sampling truly lousy fitting helmets.

I found it very useful at guiding me to the best fit helmets, I would say great, a bigger dataset would be the only improvement to make which I am sure you are on to.

As usual, these folks are phenomenal. The Lid Picker works like a champ, . . . Especially when you put in the correct measurements! I had high hope for this service as it is not easy to find the right helmet as I have round and big head. The report suggested three helmets that would fit my head. I ordered first one in the first week, then, it arrived and I could not put my head through. Another week, I ordered other two, I could put my head through, but there are high pressures on my head, i could not wear it for more than 10 minutes. I ended up returning all these helmets and ended up ordering several more other helmets and nothing worked. At the end, i finally came across HJC helmet with 3XL size that would fit me which did not suggest in the report. I would not call this service Bad or Terrible as the data is impressive, but it just did not meet expectation to find the right helmet.

I have owned numerous helmets over the years but many were a poor fit even though retail assistance was well intentioned. The Lid Picker format helped me make an accurate assessment of my head shape and size. Now I just have to be patient while the supply chain catches up in order to replace the current lid!

I have had Nolan for the last three helmets and really like them. Wanted to try another one and also looking at another brand. The Lid Picker showed me not only which one fits best but also which size. Thanks Lid Picker
