The geopress 24oz is on a completely different scale than a simple straw purifier and you’re able to carry the water you purified with you! I’d I appreciate the electrolyte one way piece. Honestly I have no complaints with it whatsoever; my friend has one, that ended up taking a tumble off a rocky cliff that was about 100 yards down and all that happened outside of a few minor scratches was his caps strap piece broke off the cap which for what happened to it was very minor. I’d definitely recommend it, I use mine the most when I’m out hunting or backpacking. I’ll likely be using it until it completely wears out and most likely get another one after that.

I got the 24oz covert model. It looks great wiith excellent build quality. We have a well at home and I donate plasma every week. Its essential to drink a lot of water....I press and take the bottle every time I go. The water definately tastes better....even after Ive boiled it i press with the grayl and it tastes better. Its strong, easy to use and clean, and now my wife wants one. couldnt recommend it enough

I’m beyond happy with this filter! I used it while traveling through rural Africa, and it gave me so much peace of mind knowing that the water I was drinking had been thoroughly filtered and was free of all the bad stuff.

About 4 years ago I bought a Grayl Ultrapress bottle. The bottle works great at purifying water. The effort of pressing is actually kind of fun to get the reward of pure, clean water. The one issue I have with the bottle is in a short time, the bottle leaks. I'm a moderate user and only use the bottle a few times a year. After two years, when tilted at a certain angle, water leaked out somewhere between the inner and outer cups. After contacting customer support, they quickly gave me inner and outer cups which solved the leak issue -- until another two years later. Then the leaking started again. I once again told customer support but this time they said it was probably operator error. Customer support sent me a video saying it may be due to a gasket reseating of the filter cartridge. But the tip on the video didn't fix the leaking issue. I've resigned to the fact that though the bottle works great in function, the inner cup is rather an item that needs frequent replacing. My hope is that Grayl will someday come up with a better bottle design to avoid such leaks in the first place. For now, the ease of use of the Grayl I think is still the best in town. But if there was a competitor that came up with a similar water purifying method with a less leaky bottle design, I'd definitely take a look at the competition.

After 9 days still have not received my Grayl. Not happy

Lost my cap and it was simple and easy to get a replacement one.
