This was a custom order honoring a family member and hunting buddy who passed. Using Caribou material from an animal harvested in 1983 by everyone’s favorite Uncle and gifed to my dad. Great care went into this build. Beyond pleased with the results.

Blacksmith was my childhood dream job and while I grew up watching a lot of blacksmithing entertainment, I had no experience with the craft coming into this class. The instructors, James and Eli, were incredible at maintaining and nurturing my excitement while instructing and guiding me through the process of making my own knife. The instructors were able to get a class of 6 complete beginners safely through the process of creating their own knives while never taking over. Every hammer strike and second of grinding was done by the students. The course and the finished knife that I came home with both exceeded my expectations greatly and I will be revisiting this forge in the future!

I highly recommend the class. James is a very good and safety conscious person. Do it you won’t be disappointed. I had my son do it with me so it was a special time for us.

I asked 5 weeks ahead of time to reschedule me to a later class. All you had to do was open the class back up. If no one joined, fine at least you tried. Instead I got a short answer to look at you cancellation policy. YOU ARE LAZY. You would rather take a person's money then earn it honestly. YOUR ARE A THIEF. You pretend to be a christian to get more business. YOU ARE UNETHICAL. In the end, all a person has is their reputation. Your reputation is that you are an unethical, lazy, thief.

They guided us through the entire process, letting us do the work ourselves while staying right by our side the whole time. You’re not just making a knife—you’re truly learning the process. They share insider tips and genuinely want you to understand the craft well enough to replicate it on your own. If you’re on the fence about taking the class, you won’t regret it.

Great quality

The knife came out beautiful and looks great. The only issue with it is that the edge is not very sharp. I will correct that myself, but I really had a hard time cutting paper when I received it.
