As far as the buying experience: 2 stars. When I received the kennel the bolt kit was not with the package and it ended up sitting in pieces in my living room for over a week while I waited on the bolts to come in. There were problems with fedex as far as shipping and accurately tracking the bolts when they did ship. The kennel itself: 4-5 star so far. I have already been using the kennel for travel 4 days a week and my GSP loves it. Dog stays with me when I travel for work we had a 33* night and with getting him in and out running down bumpers and potty breaks the kennel stayed 60* or above all night.

The bed isn't secure in kennel. So while traveling the bed slips to one of the sides and the dog can't use the bed at all. When I contacted gunner about it, they told me this is a common issue and that I should pay another $100+ for their performance pad which should fix the problem.

Love the crate, its a much better product than all the other crates I looked at. Things id like to see improved is the quality control and post mold clean up, very Sharp edges on the inside on the vents were upsetting and resulted in me having to take a knife and cut of the excess plastic. Thats the only thing holding me back from a 5 star review.

I love the color (teal) and the safety of this crate but putting it together was difficult. The screw holes did not line up properly and the vent holes had very rough edges and scratches. I wanted to exchange it for a smaller size but UPS refused to ship it back unless I paid over $500 to send it by freight. Customer service was not much help. They suggested I use two boxes to ship back but would have to paid for one box even though I paid for the protection plan.

I can’t give a full honest review because I was shipped the wrong color. I needed this bed for a trip, and they would not rush the replacement nor give a discount for sending me the wrong color which was really disappointing. Material and sturdiness has been absolutely great. It does slide around in the kennel a bit with your dog, so it’s not a super snug fit, but for the quality I like it.

I used the the bumper one time and the plug feel out.

I had an issue with the fitment of the door on my black large G1. Called in and got a replacement sent out same day. Unfortunately the replacement had the exact same issue. I think there is a manufacturing issue since my blue large fit perfect with no gaps or modifications to fit properly. Dont know if the black is made in a different mold. It does function but the door frame has to be stretched out of alignment to get it to screw in. Other than that very happy with both kennels.

The fan does not cool the kennel. Based on a Bluetooth thermometer I put in the kennel, the temperature significantly rises and blowing hot air just makes the temperature inside the kennel worse.

To big and basically useless for my needs. It’s huge and to hard to measure out “1 cup”. All three of my bird dogs eat 1 cup two times daily. The scoop was a waste in the design. Flip the handle, make it sizable (cut layers off) and that’s more useful to a wider audience

My experience with the mounting hardware was negative. Both cam screw eyelet hardware ended up cross threaded despite my attempts to mitigate that risk considering the design. Also, the rod is prone to slipping out of the eyelet bolts until tightened during installation. Gunner rep responsive and said a new hardware kit was being sent. I’m still waiting for replacement hardware May 15 to June 1.

We live abroad (Panama) but heard so many good things about this brand that we paid a company that does ocean shipping extra so they could ship the product to us. It took around a month to get to us and we were so excited, but when we opened the box we were shocked to see it was not what we ordered. The box was labeled as Tan but we got Gunmetal. We immediately contacted customer support and they offered to send the correct one. When we explained the situation (having to pay a company to get it shipped abroad, and that we couldn't afford to do that again so we expected them to cover it) they said they couldn't help anymore. We requested a partial refund of the product but they refused to do that too. So now we have a kennel in a color we did not order and don't like at all, which doesn't sound like a big deal but when you take into consideration that it costs usd 500+, we really wish we could've just gotten the product we ordered.

My second kennel cover on my large gunner, just like my last one it won’t stay tight allowing wind,water and other debris in. Especially when raining the kennel fills up with water. Gunner replaced the first one thinking about going a different route this time.

No worth the money. Very cheesy for $170. 00 dollar product. Not at all impressed.

Haven't been able to use it, no hardware was included to assemble it. Contacted Gunner and apparently they are sending the hardware as slow as possible. So first impression was terrible, Lack of attention to detail in packing making product unusable. Will update if the hardware to assemble ever shows up

We live in the PNW and I bought this to protect the pup from the weather. Unfortunately I dont think this weather kit does all that much. Water will still get in the kennel and the dog gets freezing cold, i guess i just have to fork out another 150 and hope the cold weather door will add some protection. The Orthopedic dog bed just gets soaked and it doesnt seem to help much with the cold either:(

Quality of the straps are good. However they are very poor in the sense of actually strapping down the kennel properly. They loosen up while you travel. likely due to vibrations/pot holes. I find if you have the dog in the kennel while you drive it does loosen up as much. However if you have the kennel empty for a quick trip to the store and back home and do not want to take out the kennel due to you’ll use it again the next day. The kennel will be loose and you’ll have to reposition and tighten it back down. Very frustrating. I find using regular ratchet straps will hold better.

The biggest problem with the pad if anything gets spilled on it, the pad soaks up the moisture and it smells like whatever was spilled on it and then the dog may not want lay on it anymore.

Disappointed. Not soft at all like a previous pad I ordered a few years ago

Quality issues with the door (did not align correctly) we notified customer service the first day , but it was not handled and they requested more troubleshooting and photos. . Our GSP chewed the side bar holes and hurt his gums , the first hour In it. Then the Rivet nut came out the top of the door. More quality issues with the $ 140 Orthopedic bed ( large is too small for the L crate) Frankly this crate is heavy and probably amazing during a crash BUT is Not ideal for home use or with dogs that have phobias or separation anxiety. The Polymer is soft and will Not last Read all of the reviews prior to making a decision.

The door cover themselves are great. The way they are supposed to stay attached to the door i feel is cheap. I have 3 kennels and put all 3 in the bed of the truck. Not one of the door covers stayed on the first day out of the box. They need to be secured on all 4 corners/sides. The magnets are not enough. Thank God they come with the safety strap or I would have lost all 3 of them. I'm sure I'm not the only one that goes over 55mph to get to there hunting property. And they would definitely get lost on a long trip out if state.
