I looked at these boots many times before finally deciding to pull the trigger. In person, this is a beautiful boot that reads similar to a dirty buck shoe. The texture is subtle from a distance, but distinctive up close. It adds some visual interest and a fun twist without being too bold or showy. The boots pair well with jeans, chinos, and other casual pants. The fit feels identical to the fit in the traveller loafers, which I have in suede and CXL. The CXL loafer feels slightly larger on my foot, as it is a little more structured and less broken in than my suede loafers, and this boot feels larger as well. As the leather starts to break in, it feels like the boot is drifting closer to the feel of my suede loafers, which I hope continues. Overall, the boots are beautiful, well-made, and unique, making them a great addition to my closet (and my feet).

Nothing bad to say. Sizing recommendations seem to be a bit off tho. I say going down a full size and up a width is a better recommendation than half a size down in brannock does better for more people.

I am an 8. 5D Brannock, and so I ordered an 8D for this boot but it was too big. Grant Stone facilitated the return and exchange in a timely manner and I love these boots! Traded for some leather laces with a pop of color.

Unbeatable for this price. B grade does not mean they are lower quality, it just means they may have a slight crease or irregularity in grain, etc. In my opinion, these things add character.

The best, cannot be beaten! I love Grant Stone’s products… I’ve now purchased two pairs of shoes, five pairs of boots, and three pairs of loafers over the past several years. These B grades offer an excellent value and do not disappoint.

Love these boots! The buffalo leather is thick and weighty but still softer and more supple than I expected. They were immediately the most comfortable new boot I’ve yet to wear. They fit securely yet have enough room in the toe box to maintain comfort throughout the day. Can’t wait to see how these break in over time. They have the same high quality construction I’ve come to expect from Grant Stone. Solid build with great details. I love the contrasting sole and brass eyelets that give these black boots a little bit more visual interest. I hope to see more boots from Grant Stone using the Dr Soles sole.
