Fantastic boots, lots of interesting stories to tell after aging with these bad boys. Only con for that 1 less star was the D ring. They somehow irritated my skin at the ankle of the ankles and caused a skin peeling. I'm looking forward to taking these out from a local cobbler and just replacing them with speed hooks or something. But other than that, very comfortable sole, lighter than brass boot, and eye-catching color of saddle tan.

When you get your hands on (feet into) something that is exceedingly well made of excellent materials, that resonates with - and perhaps elevates - your personal style, it changes how you feel. Something inevitably increases: your swagger, your confidence, maybe just the width of your grin or depth of your dimples. But that change has an effect on how you interface with the world. They're *just* boots. We all know that. But we all know that the right piece is more than that; the right look is more than the sum of its constituents. These are excellent boots. The fit and finish is as good as any I've seen; the bison hide is a phenomenal texture. The tan/green sole and brass hardware make them a little more casual, but way more versatile. These are such good boots that they're more than boots. Good job, Grant Stone. Good. Job.

Quality: I bought these boots to replace a very old and well-loved pair of Blundstones that had seen better days and were a little too snug after my pregnancy. I did a ton of research and landed on these and I'm so glad I did! The quality is fantastic. When I took them out of the box I was almost taken aback by how beautiful they are. Fit: When I first put them on they were a little tighter than I expected, but when I tried a thinner sock and was amazed at how beautifully they fit my feet. I had a very helpful exchange with customer service about fit and definitely recommended reaching out if you have questions! They're still a little stiff but are breaking in beautifully with regular wear and I can tell they're going to be perfect in a few more weeks. I found them to be true to size pretty much exactly. If you plan to wear thick socks, definitely size up. I'm more likely to wear these with tights so I didn't, and I have a pair of shearling-lined boots so I won't be grabbing these on the coldest days. Style: The curve of the heel and the shine are beautiful. I chose these because they are so versatile -- I'm as likely to wear them with a skirt to a work event as I am to wear them to walk my dog on a rainy day, and on a lot of trips I'll be able to wear them to travel in without needing to pack another pair of shoes (note: they are pretty heavy so I wouldn't want to pack them but they're comfortable enough to wear on a plane). The shine and lack of a front pull tab make for a more refined look. I think men can get away with a slightly more rugged-looking boot than this in a business-casual setting, but I don't really feel like I can and I'm on the East coast in a field where things are slightly more formal.
