We're grateful that we were able to find a book that 40 Foster kids will enjoy opening and reading about. We definitely would like to see the Newberry winner's available for just the shipping costs if possible. As we fundraise all year long for the chance to take 40 kids to Summer Camp for free, receiving an enriching book like those would be utterly amazing!

For ten years the Bluewell Lions Club has presented every child in Pre-K through Grade 2 a set of books to encourage literacy. Annually, we give each child in our area schools two books for their private library. Because we live in an area with many low income families, the books we distribute are often the first book some students have ever owned. Without the help of First Book, our Books4Kids project would be not be possible. Thanks to First Book, we have delivered over ten thousand books to the children of southern West Virginia.

Firstbook has been a great resource for our organization for over 10 years. We built libraries for our out of school programs and allowed students that typically did not have money to buy books at the school book fairs to purchase at Firstbook to take home.
