The X2 is a pretty light paddle with good maneuverability when volleying. However, it just doesn’t have the same power as my old power drive. When blocking overheads, I could only pop the ball up whereas with my old power drive I could generate decent line drives and drops. When hitting line dries from the baseline, I just wasn’t getting the same pop off the paddle. But again, it’s very good in quick volleying actions. So a pretty good paddle depending on what type of game and opponents you’re playing.

Excited about using my new racket!

I have only used the paddle three times since it arrived and so far, so good. I find that I can control my shot placement but also hit with power when necessary. The blemishes on the "slightly used" paddle are hardly noticable and were just a couple of scratches at the edge of the top as if someone scraped the ground during a hit. The order took a couple of days to process before shipping and took about a week to arrive so if you're in a rush to get it, play for the faster shipping option.

I recently returned to playing with Engage after the launch of the X2. The switch from a very loud and explosive paddle to the X2 with its soft feel while retaining power was so easy. Within a few game points it felt familiar and comfortable. This provided me confidence to go out and explore the playing possibilities of this new generation Engage. I can't quite put my finger on it - but it's different in a good way!

Received both of mine on Engages trade-in program. Took a couple of weeks. No big deal.
