I needed something better for my desktop PC set up. After looking around and watching some youtube, I decided on the XB1s. I've always been a fan of folded ribbon tweeters and these might just be my favorite. Tons of clarity and separation at the top end with no sibilance. The mid woofer gets down low enough to make a smooth transition to my Subwoofer. While I'm using these in a nearfield setup, I feel they would be great in a small room 2. 1 setup, or as your surrounds in a 5. 1 or 7. 1.

I ORDERED THE COMPACT AND WAS NOT TOLD FIR 10 DAYS THAT IT WAS OUT OF STOCK BUT WORKED OUT GREAT AND INSTEAD GOT THE XPA4 FULL SIZE WHICH GIVE A LOT OF ROOM FOR 3 MORE CHANNELS. HAVE NOT HOOKED UP 2 OF THE 4 CHANNELS WAITING ON 12 GUAGE WIRE. BUT THE 2 I AM USING ON MY KLIPSCH HERESY 4 SPEAKERS HAS MADE THEM COME ALIVE. BUILD QUALITY VERY GOOD AND HEAVY. YOU GET YOUR MONEYS WORTH WITH EMOTIVA. CANT WAIT TO GET 3 OTHER BAYS FILLED UP AND 7 CHANNELS. LOVING IT SO FAR

Simple to use and sounds amazing!

I picked up the Emotiva BasX A3+ due to the lack of clear and powerful sound from my front stage. I am using SVS Ultra bookshelf speakers + SVS Ultra center, powered originally all through a Denon x3700h receiver. The center speaker was particularly weak in my 5. 1. 4 configuration. After installing the Emotiva amp to run the LCR (and running the Audyessy calibration with a few manual tweaks) the front stage speakers sound great. It fixed the center channel hollowness and I'm able to keep the rest of the surround and atmos speakers purring at low db powered by the receiver, which should keep it quite cool.

Bought MR1 to replace my 2 year old Denon. There is no comparison the MR 1 makes my Klipsch speakers sound amazing. I use the MR1 strictly as my home theater receiver. If you’re thinking of upgrading your system it’s a definite improvement. Thanks Emotiva

Quick and easy ordering and shipping

I love the MR1L. I have tons of headroom, even driving my Martin Logan SL3s. I don’t want/need all of the extraneous capabilities of other HT receivers, especially music. (Bob’s Basement, Carnegie Hall, Earl’s Wine Cellar, and such. ). Straight music is perfect… Home theater is perfect for me. Yes, I get the annoying pop you read about, but less than once a week. Don’t care. I appreciate the REAL owners manual. . . Folks, it's about 30 pages. . . not the 187 page unreadable monster that came with my previous unit. I don't run a subwoofer, so needed to review one of the many Emotiva tutorial videos on how to bypass the subwoofer check for the room setup. Spoiler alert: it's in the speaker crossover section of the menu. Excluding this research project, I had the unit up and running in less than an hour. Customer Service and shipping: Purchased through the Emotiva website, with zero issues (Nice sale price). I ordered the MR1L the week before Christmas. . . and it STILL arrived in 4 days. I was astonished. To sum this up, I am a music guy, and love this unit. The HT is very good, but missing a lot of bells and whistles, which to me is a plus. The only minor negative is the minor pop when shifting to my Apple TV, every once in a while. The only reason ! can't give it a 5. 1 Star rating. I highly recommend this unit.

Added BasX5 to a Marantz Cinema 70. It made the music and home theater come alive with very clear sound. I enjoy clean clear sound that does not have to be loud. The amp runs as advertised, easy to install, runs cool. I was looking for a good quality amp at a fair price and I’m glad I decided to go with Emotiva BasX5
