I bought it a month ago for my birthday. I was looking for a wheeled upgrade to my large North Face Base Camp Duffel. I finally settled on this because it is one of the only rolling duffels that retains the straps for a backpack capability. Another plus is that Eagle Creek has a great military discount program. I am active duty Air Force and travel for work often. I have 4 deployments and 35 TDYs under my belt so I know a thing or two about a good travel bag. This bag so far has been great. The telescoping arms and wheels handle it packed to 40 pounds well. The tightening straps are great to loosen to fill the bag and zip it, then cinch it down. The top pocket it great for separating either dirty clothes or a pair of shoes, or both because of its spaciousness. The water resistant fabric that it’s made with is great and feels very strong and doesn’t seem to get scuffed too easy. I took this bag for a week as a checked bag and it flew well and had tons of room. Then I took it on a 2-week trip to upper Michigan with 3 pairs of shoes and plenty of workout and hiking clothes. All-in-all great bag for the active traveler. If you love the north face base camp duffel but want something a little easier than ONLY lugging it around on your back this is your bag, it won’t disappoint.

I got a green canvas Eagle Creek bag in 2003. This bag has been my everything bag and my daily carry since then. I don't just use this bag in town. I am a field biologist and birding enthusiast. I have taken this bag across 25 US states and 2 Canadian provinces. I have carried field guides, lunch, water, maps, first aid equipment, ammo, and a hundred other things in there. This bag has been rained on, snowed on, dropped in the mud, bled on, sweated on, cried on, slept on, thrown in the back of field rigs, had a horrifying pluot accident, and been dragged through a whole lot of brush. This alone would be enough to brag on. However, yesterday I went into the local Macy's to look at fine jewelry and the well-dressed woman behind the jewelry counter complimented me on my bag. I see no reason why it can't go another 20+ years. Thanks for making a great product!

First time ordering from Eagle Creek. Wallet was as described and it arrived quickly.

A great-looking, high-quality travel backpack. My only gripe is the placement of the water bottle pocket and side grab handle. I almost always carry my backpack on my right shoulder, so having the bottle pocket on the right side is much more convenient. And since I'm right-handed, when I carry the bag by the side handle, I prefer the front of the backpack facing outward rather than the back with the shoulder straps showing. That would require the grab handle to be on the left side instead. Overall, it's an excellent bag—I just wish the handle and water bottle pocket were swapped. If you're reading this, Eagle Creek, I'd gladly pay extra for that option!

I have had my Eagle Creek suitcase for 10+ years. With some heavy use, the hard plastic on one of the wheels was cracking and coming off. I submitted a request for a DIY part (so cool they offer that option) and was more than pleasantly surprised when an actual person emailed me. Not only that, they sent off the wheel right away. No fuss, no muss, no runaround like I'm so used to getting these days with customer service. As their rep Jacob said when I told him this, "In a time when AI is on the rise, authenticity will shine!"
