Great prompt service
Poor service. Christie’s has gone downhill. Firstly the website was not working and showed our ordered items as being out of stock once reaching the checkout stage. I emailed and received no response, had to chase and eventually telephone to get any action. The Advisor was helpful and offered some discount and sent a payment link via email but the link expired before we had time to make payment and the prices on the invoice differed to the website prices before discount, causing more confusion (apparently a known problem with the website). I then paid via bank transfer and the Advisor (Amanda) asked that I emailed her to confirm payment had been made and she would then immediately inform Accounts so the order could be processed without further delay. I sent her a confirming email which she acknowledged. More than two weeks later the order still had not arrived and zero correspondence from Christies. Telephoned once again and could barely hear the Advisor I spoke to due to her very loud colleagues in the background. She did what she could to help and said they had staff shortages and it appeared the previous Advisor had failed to notify accounts that the order had been paid for, so the order had not even been processed. Now, more than two weeks later I am still waiting for another update and (hopefully) confirmation of dispatch. Christies have inflated their prices whilst dropping their standards. So disappointing. After nearly ten years with Christies we have now had to change suppliers. Christies, you will not continue to survive in this competitive environment without significant improvement in your service. Advisors do try to be helpful but the standard of customer service has dropped dramatically.
