I had a pretty simple 12x12 deck. I am glad that I spent extra $1000 on this cable railing instead of going with a standard bars railing. It really looks modern and awesome. Everything - cables and tensioners, splices and hand-rails, hand-rails and posts, screws and posts - fits together very well!

It would have been helpful to speak with someone who was more knowledgeable about the use of the various drilling templates with the system. Also, the guide templates should be included with the installation kits. Without them, it is very difficult to get the holes in the metal railings to align. The products are well-made, the packaging is excellent and the website tutorials are helpful.

My project shipped lacking the handrail drill guide and template. You had to send me the missing parts which you did without delay. I appreciate that.

I have a beautiful ipe wood deck, and the original railings were made of the same material. Besides having the distinctive vertical baluster look, the yearly weathering made them always look in need of maintenance. The conversion to cable rail was almost a no-brainer, but selecting a DIY system was not - there’s a lot of options out there. If there was one feature that sold me on Cable Bullet, it was the cable spacer bar to help span the 78” rail width. The result is practically invisible, and it’s an elegant solution to maintaining the cable tension over longer spans instead of requiring an extra post. Very happy with the end result, and the kits that were sent were well thought-out with clear, well-illustrated instructions included.
