I’ve owned my Benchmade 580 Barrage with custom engraving for about 5 years now, and it has been my go-to knife from day one. I don’t just carry it every day — I actually use it every single day. From opening boxes and cutting rope to random tasks around the house and garage, this knife has seen constant use and has held up incredibly well. The grip is outstanding. It feels secure and comfortable in the hand without being bulky, and it fits in the pocket perfectly for an everyday carry knife. One of my favorite features is the assisted opening. The open assist is amazing and still works perfectly even after years of daily use. It opens fast, smooth, and reliably every time. The overall build quality is exactly why Benchmade has such a strong reputation. The custom engraving also adds a really nice personal touch that makes it even more special to carry. Because I’ve been so impressed with the Barrage, I’ve since purchased two more Benchmade knives. The Mini Bugout turned out to be perfect for my wife — lightweight, comfortable, and easy for her to carry daily. The Lifetime Sharp service is another huge reason I’ll continue buying Benchmade products. It’s great knowing they stand behind their knives long-term. After 5 years of heavy everyday use, my 580 Barrage is still my favorite knife and the one I reach for every time. Love it!

I have owned many automatic knives, but this is my first Benchmade. In every other knife, over time they lose their snappiness. But not so with this knife. It has remained reliable, the edge retention is very impressive for the beatings I've put it through, and the ergonomics are amazing. It feels great in the hand. Worth the money for sure, especially with the amazing Benchmade warranty and customer service. Won't let you down.
