The cost versus quality of this guitar is amazing. To my mind the purchase was a relatively inexpensive way of testing the waters in the world of Artist Guitars. My only complaint is that the bridge pickup sounds a tad too spanky, hence the 4 stars. The other 4 positions are great. If you’re thinking about taking the plunge just go for it.

There is nothing special about this case but it's fit for purpose and fits my 335 perfectly. For the price you can't go wrong.

I've been through a few inexpensive teles - don't know why as I've got fancy ones that I play and like. In th last couple of years I've had Jet, Harley Benton and now this Artist. The AT53 is pricer than the others mentioned but it's totally worth it. For an extra £100 you get better finishing, higher specs and workable pickups and volume and tone pots that are more than on/ off. Big differnce here! Super lightweight pawlonia body menas it's effortless to play. The nut is well cut and the locking tuners do their job (though they are a bit chunky) at letting the guitar hold tune well. The neck feels great and the fretwork is top notch. I'd have like a touch more gith on the neck but that's preference isn't it? The extra time taken on a fancy fat neck carve is what doubles the cost from here, so I'm ok with it. The only flaw I found was that the neck plate was slightly misaligned so that there was a split in the paint under the screws. That's the only area that looked rushed, which is a great thing for a tele at this price. Nitro too, what's not to love? Shipping and delivery was flawless.
