Lowest APR of the several lenders I researched. I was drawn to Simplist due to the low rate they advertised. Was expecting fees to be higher as a result but they were much lower. I recently took early retirement due to a permanent disability so while my Social Security benefits combined with my 401(k) provide more than enough coverage for our monthly expenses it did present a unique challenge for the refinance process. James, along with Dan Paez, were excellent to work with. They worked hard on our behalf to make this happen (even when I surprised them with a last minute request to take some cash out). This experience was the simplest (yeah, I went there). Will definitely reach out to James and the Simplist team again if I need a loan or refinance.

Jared, Dan, and their team got my refi done in less than 30 days, where another bozo team had failed for 3 months before I pulled the plug. After a stalled re-fi process with our existing big bank, I contacted Simplist. Within 2 working days, Ryan and I spoke twice-- actually speaking with someone about this process was comforting. Ryan had a few small concerns early on (about income, balances, etc), but he was clear and forthcoming;; That was very refreshing and appreciated. The whole process took just about 7 weeks. Ryan and Edgar were extremely helpful and always available throughout. The online document signing was easy and quick. Lastly and maybe most important, Ryan was able to get me a rate that KILLED the other banks!! Recommending Simplist (and Ryan) is a no brainer!

The main premise of Simplist - share my information and Simplist will compile the best loans for me to review, without selling my information to lenders - lived up to the promise. That part was very convenient. But when it came time to move forward with a loan the whole process was extremely frustrating. Even though I was supposed to have a dedicated Loan Analyst I struggled to get answers to my questions and I frequently heard from different people throughout the process instead of my dedicated Analyst. The biggest frustrations were closing costs regularly increasing throughout each stage of the process without clear answers why. Even after closing there was information that was unclear and when reaching out I was getting snippy responses. I wouldn't use Simplist again - way too much of a hassle.

The rates at Simplist are great. Unfortunately, Fannie Mae recently changed how they calculate short term rental property income... another side effect of the COVID economy. This ultimately meant that Anthony and his team weren't actually able to close my re-fi as we all had hoped. Such a shame because their rates are fantastic!

Jared was such a pleasure to have as our advocate during this process. There were a few bumps in the road with paperwork and scheduling, but he was always right there to smooth things over between all the different parties, and help get things done. I don't think we could have done it without him, frankly. Trust me, this is a guy you want in your corner.

I speak with some authority, as I’ve gone through the mortgage exercise multiple times. This is not my first rodeo! His professionalism, combined wIth his depth of knowledge and positive work ethic, made the entire process quite pleasurable. I know, making the refi process pleasurable may sound implausible, but it truly was the smoothest, user-friendly experience I’ve encountered in the mortgage arena. This was the 3rd time that I've done a refinance and I wish the other two times were this easy. I called several lenders and Ryan was by far the most thorough loan officer that I spoke with. To top it off, he had the lowest rate compared to everyone else I spoke with, including my own bank that had my mortgage! I didn't believe Ryan at first about how quickly we would close, but he delivered within about two weeks after I filled out their online application and provided my documentation. I'm definitely going to pass on your info to friends and family for their mortgages.

My mortgage rate was pretty low when I got it several years ago so I didn't plan to refi until I saw that I could save at least a point on it. I am so busy, while I've been working from home since our quarantine it's made work harder in many ways. I say this because I REALLY didn't want to go through a refi. All the paperwork, gathering things, sending things, closing things, and then there's usually so much more. Clearly, the name of the company, Simplist got my attention, but I still expected a big headache. Ryan told me we would close by the end of September and I count Oct. 2, as close enough! He was very professional, thorough, and seriously the only hurdle was closing an unused HELOC, but that had nothing to do with his service. He was absolutely respectful, full of great advice and personable. I'd recommend him any day.

James is professional, kind, and prompt to respond to all communications, regardless of the day or time. He also was very helpful with troubleshooting when it was necessary. Its been a pleasure working with him.
