The canvas shell, just like the wool layer, greatly exceeded my high expectations.

I wore this in negative 5 degree weather with 20+mph winds in Arkansas. Worked awesome

After years of shivering and dithering I ordered a Rough Anorak. I have worn it cross-country skiing daily since it arrived and I couldn't be happier. I ordered a Large; I am 5'-9, 170#, 43" chest. The fit is good; I have complete ease of movement without extra material flapping (and letting in cold air). I have layered a thin polypro undershirt and a light wool shirt to a breezy -5F and been more than comfortable and am not worried about colder temps. The quality of construction is excellent, the fabric is beefier than I expected, reasonably wind-resistant, doesn't bother my skin, breathes fine. The design of the hood and gusset is very good and adapts easily to changes in temperature and wind. The kangaroo pocket is perfect. A great garment.

Ordered the vest and received it 3 days later. This was 10 days before Christmas. Super impressed at that turn around at this time of year. Put it on for the first time Christmas Eve. SOOO GOOD. It fits fantastic. Looks awesome and the quality is superb. If your considering a wool vest. I can't recommend this one highly enough. Thanks to Karina, who built this vest, your a true pro!

The Temperature was 4 Fahrenheit and the wind was steady 10MPH gusting to 25+ MPH. I wore a wool hat and the Voyageur Anorak over a heavy Dachstein wool climbers sweater and turtle neck. I was outside for about an hour. When the winds gusted I could feel some air infiltration. Once the gusts passed no sensation of cold was evident. I was walking without much exertion for heat generation. Overall I was impressed, I would not have expected this level of comfort with these conditions. With layering a shell over this Anorak I would expect 10F to 15F additional warmth. I also believe the air infiltration kept me from excessive sweating and the problems associated with that.

Great quality and looks. They were very friendly and helpful on sizing, correctly convincing me to go up a few sizes. I just love it. For better or for worse, so does the wife. We’ll likely end up with a second (Anorak, not wife…)

Looked for years for natural fibre clothing. I wear wool pants and wool base layer but could never find what I was looking for when it came to outer layers that would stand up to my life style. Some how found you guys and bit the bullet on the rough. Absolutely astounding fit and quality. Warm and unbelievably soft for wool. I found the only issue was wind. Been trying to justify a canvas outer. My wife stepped in and ordered me a manic for Christmas. Of coarse I had to try it on first hahahahaha. The manic is exactly what I needed. I really wanted to put it to the test this week as it is -35 here right now but my wife wrapped it. We did call to get a recommendation on size. That was the best call we made. Super help full and straight forward with his recommendation. Gators and the hat are next. I’m so impressed with these items so far I have had issues writing a review. All you guys need to do now is a line of cargo pants. With your wool and ideas it would be wonderful. For now I will have to continue to wear the BB cargo pants. Can’t wait to pick up some of the other items. I absolutely love your story and your ideas. I’ll be your biggest fan if you keep to your roots. Love it. Thank you

Fantastic garment. Do yourself a favor and get a size bigger than u think u need and add the side slits! I returned a LT for a XLT with side slits and VERY glad I did. These folks do an impeccable job with craftsmanship on these anoraks. Will be ordering an XXLT canvas anorak for sure for those really cold trips. Its like wearing your winter comforter. Today I was out hunting in a blustery snowstorm at 25F with nothing but a long sleeve scent blocker shirt underneath.

Excellence in craftsmanship for sure. I like anoraks, and this is the nicest that I own, but I am going to have a zipper added from the chin to the sternum just for ease in putting it on/taking it off…with proper care this would get you through a lifetime of adventure ❤️

I ordered the rough anorak with the racoon ruff, it is so warm and cozy. But it. Also looks great! I am constantly getting compliments when I wear it. I love being able to go get in my car and not have to go bakc I side after I start it because my anorak keeps me warm

I'm a pretty skinny dude, 5' 10'' 155lbs; 29'' chest. The customer support was extremely helpful with getting the right dimensions as I did not fit the smallest size offered. The sizing is perfect and I couldn't be happier with the product.

I purchased the woman's loden anorak and I am 5'8 and the large fits me fine. It is very warm and here in Indiana we have had a few cold days but not cold enough to test a super cold day. Either way I am impressed with the way it was made and how warm I believe it will be. Thank you
