I had been looking for cold weather gear as I had just started camping in the mountains in his past year. I was having to wear 4 layers at times to stay arm. This was cumbersome and made movements much more difficult. I ordered my Anorak hoping for the best. It arrived and I was surprised by how precisely the description of the Anorak on the website matched what I received. The Anorak is very thick and very heavy. The craftsmanship is wonderful. I feel like now the trips in the cold won’t be the same. Less layers. More mobility. Absolutely worth what I paid and then some.

I received the Loden anorak about two weeks ago. If you're reading this review and considering buying one of these excellent garments, know this. There is no possible way you will ever buy one for $34. 99 as I saw this morning on another site. If your brain has you believing you're buying this quality and workmanship for 35 bucks, you probably shouldn't be left alone outside or given anything sharper than a wax crayon. I found the best way to regulate the warmth of the anorak is by wearing different things under it. One piece wool long johns, wool sweater over that and -21c with no issues whatsoever. I've worn this everyday since it arrived. Andy was both honest and helpful. I'll be talking to him again over another purchase I'm considering. Don't be fooled by other sellers using BMA pictures unless you want a dish rag with a hood on it.

I finally pulled the trigger on buying a Boreal Mountain Anorak and I'm so happy I did. I read the reviews and was in two minds whether to go for the Loden or the Rough. I decided I'd go for the Rough after watching YT videos and I could not be happier with my choice. I needed some small adjustments made to the anorak and Andy was great in confirming these prior to completing my order. I ordered the anorak on a Saturday evening and I had a notification on the Monday that it had been dispatched. It arrived in the UK a few days later but I had to wait until I got the customs notification to pay the import duty (£93 for anyone in the UK who's interested in buying one). All in all it took 14 days from when I ordered to when it was delivered. The quality of the garment is superb. Heavy wool that will keep me warm and double stitching that will last decades (if not a lifetime). Just want to say Thank you to Andy and his whole team for the excellent service, customer support and a 1st class quality product. FYI - now I'm debating between a Blackrak or a Loden.

My Voyageur anorak was delivered today. Amazing build quality and the perfect size for layering. Love everything about it. Thank you Andy and the BMA team for a great service and superb item. Just wish we could make great gear like this in the UK.

I originally ordered two Anoraks (one for my wife) and one vest on 12 January 2024. Communication was excellent and shipping was super fast. All items were received by 21 January 2024. To my disappointment and my own error, the vest was too big and the Anorak too small. I contacted customer service and got an RMA that day. I put in a new order the next and received a call for clarification on my return. Peter was excellent and knew exactly what I wanted and had a helpful ’no worries’ send it back and we’ll take care of you. That they did. I received my replacement custom order anorak and vest on Friday 16 February and had the perfect chance to test it out over the weekend. I cannot be more pleased with the product and the team at Boreal. I feel like I am wrapped in two USMC issued wool blankets that smell better and less itchy. I can’t wait to purchase more product from Boreal. Thanks Peter and the team at BMA.

Let me start by saying that I'm 5 feet 11 inches tall and weight 245 US pounds, I'm also male. In 2022 I purchased the Rough Anorak in size 2XL and I loved it except for the fact that the wind cuts right through it. In 2023 I purchased the Artic Anorak in size 4XL. This was a good fit except the sleeves were to long. I took the anorak to my local taylor and they shortened the sleeves about 2 inches. Now the combination of these two garments is perfect for the long walks I take along the Atlantic ocean in the winter. These garments are great, they shield me from the wind and cold and keep me toasty warm on my walks. I love these products and plan to purchase the vest next year.

I put my order in with some special requests and Andy himself called me to talk about what I wanted and to give advice. Than it arrived super quick. And now that I've got it it's doing exactly what I need. But than this is the second thing I've gotten from them. I should have expected to be impressed.

I bought this anorak last year and it has been nothing short of amazing. I am in Fairbanks, Alaska where Temps reach a low of -40F to -65F. In almost every situation (besides extreme winds) I have been absolutely warm and dry. The only thing that I would change is a button system on the neck flap for ventilation.

My wife got me a Titian Poncho for Christmas and I got to take it for a test ride today. It was about 33 deg F. And light icy rain. I was out burning some brush for about 3 hours. Had on a t-shirt, the Wool Blackrak and the poncho. Stayed warn and dry. The best part was no burns from sparks like happens with nylon and fleece. Great products. Keep them coming

So to start off I am a bigger guy, 6’4” 250#. Ordered the Loden Green Anorak, Buffalo Wool over shirt and the Loden blanket. For the Loden green anorak I went with a XXL Tall because I like my garments a little longer and I am a taller person and I am so glad I did! Go by the measurements they give you. I went with just a XXL wool over shirt and it has been my daily wear! It is more of a coat than a regular flannel, been keeping me warm at work everyday here in Minnesota with just a long sleeve shirt underneath (20 F). The anorak is warm and comfortable and looks great and will be getting much more use once the temps drop more. I also got the Loden green blanket for the Black Friday sale (because why not?) and it’s been a mainstay on my bed and out on a camping trip and a few ice fishing excursions. Can’t go wrong with it. What a wonderful coat! I stressed over the sizing. The measuring tape said I was "Large". but everything else I wear is XL. Finally went with XL, and it is perfect. Roomy fit, so it goes over the sweaters and vest I wear underneath perfectly. Thick, heavy WARM fabric. I did not know anyone still made real coats!! I am very pleased!

I am really happy with product and customer service I received. Much better quality then the New Zealand brand I was using , this actually feels very durable , it will be used for hunting despite its name it very, and the neck soft won't rub or irritate your beard, the neck and hood are excellent , it really keeps the cold out where as some wool bush shirts leave your throat exposed this doesn't It's also very quite . It's a great wool jacket, well through out design and excellent quality materials. Time will tell on durability but the stitching looks very good

Im sure this will be handed down to my kids and their kids its that type a quality. If your on the fence and worried about thickness or any type of quality......Dont be . Bought my 100% wool, over a year ago. Very impressed even with import tax as I'm in the UK, worth every penny. You will never have to buy another one, will last a lifetime.

I received this in less then a week. Im hunting deer in the Adirondack mountains up state New York next week and this coat getting a test run.I got the louden green anorak very impressed. Will give this 5 stars hopefully next week. I want to see how it does. Im a big man. 6'2 300lbs i got the 3xl tall. I look like a small kid! Its so long i might have to roll the sleeves!!! Feels very durriable. If it preforms well solo its getting 5 stars
