Superb site
I have researched most of the on-line bass guitar teaching web sites and Jam Play was by the far the best. The teaching tools available on the site are superb, the site takes you from absolute beginner to being able to focus on any style you wish to play. The tutorials are excellent with 3 different camera angles to show you how to follow the tutor. You cannot find better on the web, especially for the price which puts a lot of the other sites to shame.

Even worth it for skilled players!
I've been playing guitar for almost 6 years now, but lately my progress has hit a plateau. I was skeptical about this site because I didn't think there was much more I could learn, except for small improvements here and there, but I gave it a shot anyway and JamPlay has proven to be an excellent teaching tool. I've been using it for about 2 hours a day for the past week, and already I've seen huge improvements in my playing. It's worth the price tag if you're serious about getting better

I just signed up for my second year
I just signed up for my second year. These are good old fashioned honest and friendly people with bunches of top of the line instructors. I learned better here than I did with live instruction for a fraction of the cost and much better material. I just turned 79 and play locally at rest homes, festivals, etc and for a very low fee I can get better and better and choose my own time to study. It just couldn't be sweeter. These folks are excellent.

Just signed up for a month to try it…
Just signed up for a month to try it out. So far in 1 hour of beginner lessons I have been very impressed and feel I have learnt some valuable tips that 3 months of private lessons and using another online subscription site have not taught me. Hoping the rest of the month goes as well as the first hour. If so I will be signing up for the year.

1 star switched to 5 Jamplay is professional.
Jamplay charged my card for the last 7 months and i didnt know it but after getting in touch they refunded me 3 months and gave me 4 months free credit so what can i say Im happy. I just gotta make super sure they dont charge me anymore when im not purposly signed up. This was a 1 star review switched to 5 stars for jamplays fast and professional dealings, I mean they refunded everything they could,or at least they said they did i have to verify the funds coming back to my account still, but they were super nice about it in the personalized email they sent me.

Not too Late
I started taking guitar lessons when I was about 12 years old, broke my finger playing football with my brother and lost interest in playing. Jump ahead some 40 years ahead and here I am. I got a Squier starter pack for Christmas a few years ago and started playing, trying to teach myself to play was harder than I thought, getting stuck on something ,getting aggravated. I looked online at some lesson sites but something was missing,I was on one site and the instructor said Jamplay was pretty good. I took the free trial and then signed up for the 3 month membership. I gotta say, I've learned more in the two months since I've been a member than I have in the 3 or 4 years since I've started playing. The amount of lessons here seems endless, you cannot not learn to play here. What I like is, one teacher might not cover something you're looking for but another one will The interactive resources is great too, live lessons, chat room, ask a teacher. The price is right too, taking lessons at a music store can be quite expensive at $15.00 to $20.00 for a half hour 3 or 4 times a month Playing the guitar has been a life long dream, if you're young don't put it off, you'll regret it later on. As Frank Marino sang " Some people claim it's too late, what they're saying is they're really just afraid." Jamplay is a great place to start, don't wait untill you're 58 and have arthritis.

JamPlay.com has been a great resources
JamPlay.com has been a great resources. With multiple instructors to follow you can get past any hurdles you might run into. The lessons are clear and short, covering just enough to master a skill before moving on. Replay as often as you need until you get it right. Best of all almost all lessons come with supplemental materials to help you learn to read music, chord charts, scales etc.!

90 percent of the content is excellent
90 percent of the content is excellent. A few tweaks here and there and the site will be very well polished. The lessons have been very enjoyable as I spend many hours a week with it and my guitars. I am able to learn music that I couldn't take on by books alone. It does need some better tools to help me organize the lessons and classes that are of interest to me, nothing complex, just a better means to personalize it. always get a response for my questions and plenty of live QA. after using this survey system, the trust pilot, what a pain the a$$ this survey site is.

Great site
Lots of great stuff here, but it would help if they could classify by skill level. Many of the lessons are really basic and it would be useful to know which are tailored towards beginners, intermediate and advanced players

Incredible deal
Incredible deal, incredible group of people, incredible resource.Unbelievable what you get with a yearly membership. Dozens upon dozens of video lesson series by top guitarists, LIbraries of licks and song "how-to" tools like backing tracks and scale and chord libraries. And the topper...live sessions with access to great guitar players and teachers throughout the week.I've been a guitar player for over 20 years and in my 6 months with Jam Play my playing ability has increased dramatically...so much so, others have asked what have you been doing. Great value for the price of local lessons for a month.

Best Money Ever Spent
I first bought a guitar about 20 years ago. Also a pile of instruction and song books. I put some effort into it, but it never took off. After a couple of years everything ended up in the attic. I'd been feeling the need for some kind of emotional outlet of late, and three months ago bought another guitar , spending more than perhaps a beginner should. Ended up with a Made in Mexico Martin that I couldn't be happier with. At first I noodled around on YouTube but found a lesson here and a lesson there from this guy, then that guy was random and had no structure. Then somehow I bumped into JamPlay. People seemed to like it, but I was ambivalent about spending more money. Then I figured, what the hell, it's now or never, and I only have to sign up for a month. So I took the plunge. I went to beginner lessons and started up with David Issacs. I'm fortunate to have the time to practice every day - and soon enough - much to my surprise, and thanks to David, I felt like I was playing the guitar. I followed through all 35 lessons, and often went back to review, as he suggests. I am still working on mastering all the material he presents in the lessons, and now often branch out to other teachers on JamPlay. David's Beginner Course gives you a solid foundation on which to build guitar skills. His teaching style is patient and encouraging, and he keeps you moving forward - mixes things up and always keeps it engaging. The format of video and audio works really well - it so great to be able to play along with a soundtrack. Can't say enough good things about this experience. It's changed my life, really. I used to write books, now I'm writing songs.
