I purchased the neck/back massager because I was needing something to help in-between massages. I always get deep tissue because I have tons of knots in neck and upper back. This actually works pretty good. I love that you don't have to mess with plugging it in and the battery holds for about a week, if I use it 1-2x a day. It does go deep, and I can hear the knots moving around as it massages. The only negative thing is that it is big and bulky, and I wish it did more for my upper neck (but I do have a small neck).
