I love this pan!
Braising veal shanks, risotto or caramelizing onions is a snap in this rondeau like pan. The response and even distribution of heat is amazing! At 32 cm across it is the same diameter as my 24 qt stock pot but much easier to use for everyday cooking. I will have to buy the lid for this as the one as it doesn't come with one but a parchment lid works in the mean time. The brushed finish tarnishes much nicer than my polished Mauviel pieces as well.

Beautiful Performance
We just received this pot and used it for the first time yesterday. It heated up much faster than our stainless pots. Cooking in this pot is a pure joy.

Review Update - This has become my all time favorite pot
I just wanted to write an update to my original review. Its now over a year later since my original review. This pot has become my all time favorite piece of cookware. It has become my go to pot. Its perfect for making a batch of sausage and peppers, chicken and rice, ---I LOVE it for making pad thai (tossing the noodles in this big wide pot couldn't be easier), its perfect for making my own version of Chinese fried rice or any other dish that needs a saute and room to brown, stir, etc. I never did buy the lid so if I really need a lid, I throw my 14" frying pan on top and it does the trick - not perfect but it works. Also, many times I end up making dishes that go from the stove top and are finished off in the oven at which point I just cover the pot with heavy duty foil.

Excellent Choice
These are some very expensive pots and pans, but well worth it. My grandchildren and possibly my great-grandchildren will use these pots and pans!

Bought a set of these and a Marvel pan to compare to see what I wanted for copper cookware gave the Marvel away now I own the drying pan set of 3 and large saute pan as well as large stockpot absolutely love my Falk copper cookware thinking about buying some more dutch ovens or casserole pans

Love these ovals
These ovals are great for quick work on the stove top then popping in the oven to finish vegetables, braises and casserole type dishes and apps. Great for fish braises! Great for Imam Bayildi and other eggplant dishes, etc, etc. Clean up easily and just a joy to work with.
