If you are not looking for something decorative for your wine storage, this rack is perfect! Yes, you can stain it and make it look real pretty. But, if the bulk of your wine storage is in a basement, closet, crawl space or root cellar, no staining is necessary. Unit was simple to assemble. I am loving all of this wine storage!!!

For the money I paid, I was disappointed in the quality. The racks are not unattractive and they are serviceable. But the construction is less than sturdy and the black stain was applied in a slapdash manner—with gaps in coverage. Unacceptable at this price point.

Disappointing value for the price. Inferior quality materials used in this product. I will never order any further products from Wine Racks America!

Only two stars because I had a customer service who refunded me $200 (out of my nearly $3,000 purchase) for recompense over broken pieces in our boxes. Otherwise would have been one star due to absolute garbage quality of their products.

There is no support after the sale. My item has a defect that I called about and received no response. The shipping also was an issue.
