85 Toyota ECU
I sent in an ECU for a 1985 Toyota, a 40 year old computer. UpFix sent text updates every step of the way. After receiving my ECU it was simply plug and play. All my issues were gone, my truck ran much better, and all the check engine codes were gone. I would recommend this to anyone that needs electronics repaired.

Good process
Love the tracking system. You will know every step they make in the repair process. Other companies could not fix my ads module but UpFix said we got it no problem.

Thank you for repairing my instrument cluster so quickly and helping me save a significant amount of money.
My 2017 Nissan Armada Instrument Cluster Repair Journey (and How I Saved Big) When I bought my 2017 Nissan Armada, I made the rookie mistake of not thoroughly checking the instrument cluster. A few days in, I noticed the backlight between 0 and 40 mph on the speedometer was out. At first, it didn’t bother me — until about five months later, when the dark spot crept up to 60 mph. That’s when I decided to fix it before it got worse. Attempt #1 – OEM Replacement from Nissan I started with Nissan’s official website and ordered a replacement cluster for $1,300 (after a coupon, it came down to $950). About a week later, they canceled the order and refunded me. The reason? Nissan requires clusters to be ordered through a dealership to prevent odometer tampering. Attempt #2 – Contacting Dealers I called three Nissan dealers: • One quoted $2,000 • Another quoted $1,670 • The third insisted I bring the vehicle in just for an estimate I followed up with the $1,670 dealer and learned: • I’d have to leave my Armada for about 10 days so they could match the mileage on the new cluster • Nissan would reprogram the odometer • No loaner vehicle would be provided At this point, the dealer route felt expensive, slow, and inconvenient. DIY Approach – Repair Instead of Replace: After watching a YouTube video, I realized removing the cluster was easier than I thought. In about 20 minutes, I had it out without damaging anything. I found UpFix, a company specializing in instrument cluster repairs, and shipped it to them. From the day I sent it out to the day it returned took just 8 days. The cost? A fraction of the dealer’s price — plus a 1-year warranty on the repair. The Result : I reinstalled the cluster today. The backlighting is fully restored, and everything works perfectly. While time will tell how the repair holds up, for now, I’m thrilled I avoided the inflated dealer prices and long wait. Bottom line: With a little research, some DIY effort, and the right repair service, I saved o...
