All good
This was an unexpected upgrade I got when my Apex 3. 0 handle came apart. I contacted customer care and they overnighted my replacement and informed me of the upgrade. It’s a great improvement! More places to put things, easier access to pockets and somehow a roomier interior that holds everything I need for the day.
Great product and superb customer service.
i like my new wallet
Great bag--thoughtfully designed, fairly priced and looks really sharp!

the best service
It's amazing, love the design and the size is perfect for my everyday carry!
Dear Troubadour Team, I am writing to share my feedback regarding the Apex Compact Backpack 4. 0. While I would love to provide a standard product review, I unfortunately had a very brief experience with it. On the very first day of use, I took the backpack to St Pancras station for a trip to Paris, and it was sadly stolen. During the short time I had it, I was incredibly impressed by the build quality and the thoughtful layout of the compartments. This backpack was a special gift from my wife and was likely the first luxury item she has ever bought for me. She is understandably heartbroken by what happened. I truly loved the product and hope that we will be in a position to purchase it again at some point in the future. Best regards, Ibrahim Mansoorali
I’ve been using the backpack for international business travel after replacing my beloved eBags backpack, which lasted me an incredible 8 years before it was discontinued. That set a very high bar. My first impression is very positive. The Troubadour is noticeably more ergonomic and much more refined from a design standpoint. It’s more comfortable to carry, especially when fully loaded, and it definitely has a more premium look. That said, I think there are a few opportunities to make it even better for frequent international travelers. The biggest thing I miss is dedicated organization for travel essentials. A couple of small, easy-access pockets for passports, visas, residence permits, Global Entry cards, or other documents would make a huge difference. These are items you need to reach quickly at airports, and right now I find myself digging through the bag. I also miss: * A dedicated pen holder. * A more accessible main opening. The current design looks sleek, but it’s not as quick to get in and out of during travel. * An easy-access sleeve for a folder or important documents without having to open the entire backpack. * A dedicated compartment for toiletries or travel essentials. Even a slim, water-resistant pocket for items like a toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, or other small personal items would be incredibly useful during long trips or layovers. Overall, I think Troubadour has created a beautiful, comfortable backpack that feels premium and carries extremely well. If future versions added a few more thoughtful organizational features aimed at business travelers, I genuinely think it would be close to perfect. The remaining question is durability. My old eBags backpack survived 8 years of constant travel, so I’m very curious to see how the Troubadour holds up over time. If it proves to be just as durable, I’ll be very happy with the switch.
Love the design and so roomy for the overall size.
Excellent product
excellent service. I asked questions before. Customer service very good.
Love the fit and styling. While roomy, it’s a bit stiff and flexible which makes putting items in and out harder than it should be. Might loosen up over time with wear which would make it closer to five stars.
Excellent product fast delivering
The experience from ordering to shipping was great. The customer service can only be described as great. All the support thats offered alongside the journey of getting a magnificent tool. Just amazing
Excellent customer service and delivery. Beautiful product!
Really enjoying the functionality of the bag! I was surprised at the darkness of the shade. From the online photo, I expected something a bit lighter and more grey-blue rather than a darker green-blue. I have a petite frame (5’2, asian female). Even with the compact, the shoulder straps can slide off from time to time, which is not the most comfortable or pragmatic for long travel days.
best backpack i’ve had for awhile. no notes!
I purchased the Apex Compact Backpack 4. 0 in Bronze Red in March and have used it on my last few work trips. I chose this backpack specifically because it is shorter in height (for my short torso) and can accommodate a 16 in laptop. Tried it out for a very busy 4-day conference with a LOT of walking. It made such a big difference in comparison to the taller backpacks I’ve used it the past. So much more comfortable and the cell phone pocket on the strap is great. I did buy the chest strap separately and my only knock on this setup is that the strap is fiddly to unclasp. But full marks for comfort, space, and style. Highly recommend it.
