Perfect fit for my needs

I bought this bag primarily as a daily carry when travelling. Didn't want a big bag, just large enough to fit my Surface Pro tablet with keyboard. This XS bag just meets those needs with a little room to spare. The wide shoulder strap is very comfortable, I removed the padded strap cover as being unnecessary for the weight this bag holds. I'm very pleased with the quality and function of this bag. I had always been a backpack guy until I tried this messenger bag, I'm completely won over. If I was still working FT and had a larger laptop I would definitely buy a larger version of this Timbuk2 Classic Messenger (or flight) bag. I'm looking forward to using this for many years and trips to come.

Good materials, solid construction. The outer zipped compartment could be a little bit bigger to make it easier to hold a wallet.

This backpack is perfect for my daily walk from work. Fits a raincoat, lunch, headphones, hat, water bottle, sunglasses, umbrella. . . love the key holder. . . one more thing to never have to look for. Super comfortable, lightweight, the chest strap helps distribute the weight. With he magnet clasp, easy to undo and redo if I want to reach around to get something out. I walk uphill a lot of the way and so sweat a bit and the two back pads that allow for air to flow are a godsend.

Love it! The quality is great and it has enough space and compartments while remaining practical. I only wish the backpack straps were slightly larger.

I purchased the Slacker Chest Pack about a month and a half ago, and it has proved incredibly useful. It has a small capacity, but works well to keep yourself hands-free on the go. I regularly use it to stash a water bottle or my phone. I would recommend comparing sizes in-store if you can afford it to make sure the capacity works for you, but for the size and the price, I'm quite happy with the item!

We brought this Timbuk2 bag along for a month-long trip through Southeast Asia, covering four countries—and by the end, it was the only bag we were using daily. My wife started with her own travel pouch, but halfway through the trip we packed it away in our luggage and relied exclusively on this one. That’s how functional and convenient it turned out to be. We really put it to the test. From city streets to beaches, markets, and even an intense ATV jungle ride in Koh Samui, Thailand, this bag didn’t let us down. It got completely covered in mud during the ride—like, caked on—and we weren’t sure if it would bounce back. We washed it out in the hotel shower and let it dry overnight. To our surprise, it held its shape, dried quickly, and still looked and felt like new. Extra bonus feature was the fabric lined easy access pocket with the magnet clasp where we could easily, and safely, store our sunglasses. It was big enough to fit both our sunglasses without adding extra bulk or putting pressure on the other compartments. It’s comfortable to carry, the compartments are well thought out, and it handles a bit of rough travel like a champ.
