I don't like paying , plus shipment, an extra $40 just to ensure the boots arrive at my home. That isn't common at other boot stores.

You get the full Alden shell cordovan experience at a fraction of the price. If you are on the fence about TheShoeMart's factory seconds, don't hesitate. Fantastic pair!

I usually wear a size 10D in both the Barrie last and the True last, so I ordered this Modified last in the same 10D. It fit just as well as my other Aldens — not a bad choice at all. Quality and finish are what you'd expect from Alden, and the fit was consistent with my usual size across lasts. That said, if you prefer a slightly roomier, more comfortable fit, sizing up to 10. 5 would work well too.
