Very comfortable shoe. The stiff leather sole provides excellent support, and the extra weight is not an issue. Lots of toe room in the Barrie last. Love the Chromexcel leather. My other Aldens are cap toe in calfskin and Cordovan, Aberdeen last. The 90580 is the most comfortable of the lot. This pair came with nail heads extending beyond the leather of the sole, and scratched our hardwood floors before I realized what was happening. Customer Service at The Shoe Mart was very responsive, made contact with Alden repairs, and gave me permission to tap the nails in further, with the option to send in for repair if I was not successful in my efforts. Very nice people, great service. I will definitely order from them again. And as mentioned above, love the Chromexcel.

Fully lined vamp, with playful foxing on the heel. Higher instep alternative to loafers to on the Aberdeen or Van last. I found it to fit true to size with US brannock.
