Overall, I had a really terrific experience with Solar Technologies. Going solar has worked out really well. Highly recommended!!! I interacted primarily with Jason on the design and installation of a system of 28 Sunpower panels (panels were x21 series 335, system size is 9.3 kWp) for our house in Oakland. The Sunpower system came in up to a few $K more than some others I looked at, but they are the best on the market in terms of performance, longevity, appearance and warranty (25 years, all replacement costs including shipping and labor included). The design process facilitated by Jason was very smooth, and it was a pleasure to work with him. The installation team led by Ricky did an outstanding job. There were only a few hiccups. I signed the contract and made a deposit in Jan 2018 and Installation was scheduled for May 2018; it happened in late June -- not too bad, all things considered, but good to be aware that solar demand is strong and there's a wait. When the panels arrived, a part was missing and the project manager said it would take an additional week to arrive, delaying installation. I had to suggest that they send it overnight from the factory in Oklahoma, which they did. A few days after my system turned on, unbeknownst to me, it tripped a breaker in the solar sub-panel; I was traveling, so we got sub-optimal production for a month. Jason arranged for a credit for the lost production, which was really great! And also, I almost did not notice that our deposit was not credited in the final cost. Jason made this and the other issues right, so all worked out well... Installing a system has some moving parts though and you need to stay on top of things. The benefits of going solar have been huge. We feel so good about producing clean energy for our household needs and to charge our two electric cars. The economic benefits are real, too. We are on a net metering (NEM) plan with PG&E now; lovely to see the *negative $110* True-Up balance in our first ful...

We Had a terrific experience with Solar Technologies as our installers. Jason was good humored and able to patiently work through the process with us and answer our many questions. The installers were very professional and easy to work with and they were very sensitive to the esthetics of our home with regard to the placement of the equipment. The support staff at the office was very responsive, even to the point of returning emails on a holiday weekend. We had a minor glitch when the city inspector said we needed to do some extra grounding to come up to code and Solar Technologies worked with the city to make all that happen promptly. All in all, it was a painless experience and our bills have gone from $300-plus a month, down to just the gas, at about $80 or so. I now don't worry about having a fan or heater plugged in because it will not cost us extra and we are not impacting Mother Earth either. A win-win decision all the way and a very professional company to deal with.

Put in a solar panel system. We had to call them several times about some things, but they showed up on time when we made appointments. They did great service. They did a good job.

I used solar technologies to help my dad get a system for the house. All of the people I interacted with were professional, courteous and most importantly, delivered on what was promised. We worked with Keenan Shaw for purchasing our solar panels. He was fantastic! He was very professional, always on time, and very accommodating with our work schedules (would drive up from Santa Cruz in the early mornings on the weekends). Additionally, he was very patient with us about answering all my questions during our first meeting and then answering the same questions when my husband asked them again during our next meeting. Additionally, Keenan was always very quick to respond at any time during the process (even after purchase and installation). I really enjoyed working with Keenan and would highly recommend him and Solar Technologies to my friends if they were ever in the market for solar panels.

The installation with my home, an eichler was a little challeging. Especially drilling through the roof. I was not happy. For the rest very professionel.

Love it! Install went flawless. We had a small electrical issue at the beginning, but the service folks were quick and professional.

Love the system. I did have some issues with communication - specifically 1) when the project would start and 2) when the project would end. Based on conversations, I had expectations as to when it would start and be completed (which was relevant since it was at year end). Now it is complete and all is working well.

Happy with the solar panels and the process. Solar Technologies was able to adjust the pre-determined number of panels once I had additional months of energy consumption in my new home, make the additional panels and still make the scheduled timeframe for installation. my panels are producing as expected and my PGE bill has reduced from $300+ to about $50/month!

Solar Technologies did a great job on the solar system on our house. They were knowledgeable, friendly and easy to work with. They got the job done quickly and efficiently, were always respectful of our home and grounds, and kept the jobsite clean. Would definitely recommend them and use them again.

I’m really happy with our solar installation and with everyone involved. My only complaint is that we were promised we’d be up and running by last November, but our panel wasn’t actually installed until this April. I was told that there were delays because of rainy days, but it’s been a particularly dry year, so I don’t think that’s reasonable.

All aspects of the solar installation was painless. The project leads emailed me updates and kept me informed of the plan approval process. I was glad no trenches had to be dug and they were able to tap into the subpanel in my detached garage. The installers were in and out in no time. There was a minor fix that had to be made after upon inspection but a technician was sent out within days to fix it. Unfortunately he did not flip back on the switch for the monitor but I did not know this. I happened to go online and noticed that I wasn't receiving any data, so Solar Technologies sent Z out who was able to discover this little hiccup. That was EZ! I appreciate a company that takes ownership for their mistakes (no matter how little) and is quick to resolve them. I would recommend Solar Technologies to my neighbors.

You came, you did, you left. How much better can it be. You said April and April it was. I have a friend that signed up in November (I signed in December) and they still are waiting to be fully on line.

Really great company. I was kept in the loop during install and preparation. Equipment install is top notch and I have had no problems afterward.
