I recently bought a new violin, and I’m very happy with its sound quality. The only issue was that the lock on the violin case didn’t work. I contacted the seller, and they responded quickly and arranged a replacement case without any hassle. Excellent customer service and a great shopping experience. Highly recommended!

Returning to violin after many years away felt a little intimidating, but the team at Simply for Strings made the experience genuinely enjoyable from the moment I walked in. Over the past week I’ve had two excellent experiences there. Both the musician and luthier I worked with were patient, knowledgeable and incredibly approachable. They took real time and care to understand where I’m at now, showed me a range of thoughtful options, and never once made me feel pressured into buying something unnecessary. What stood out most was that the focus wasn’t on making a sale — it was on helping me find the right setup for this stage of my playing, while also considering what I may need as I progress. That kind of expertise and honesty is rare. Simply for Strings says on its website that it strives to provide the best customer service, and in my experience it truly delivers on that promise. My go to shop for all my musical needs. I bought a Gliga Vasile full sized Professional Dark Antique violin and couldn't be happier with the quality and the sound. I recently also asked them to help me restore my 3/4 sized violin which I brought with me from Europe just to have it restored here. It was the first violin I started practising on and it meant a lot to me. They did a full service on it, fixed a crack, replaced the bridge, the sound post, polished the fingerboard, carved the nut, replaced the aging tailpiece and a new bow. All good as new and I cannot be happier with the result!

My experience today was great. As a totally new and mature-aged, aspirational cello learner - but who has also played a variety of instruments in the distant past -, I knew what I wanted in terms of service. As soon as I walked into the store I got exactly what I wanted in that regard . Annabelle and her colleagues were fabulous. I didn't feel intimidated in any way, even as they endured me playing a few open strings. And they not only answered my questions thoughtfully, but offered a fewtips and tricks for resources to help my journey. I feel confident that I can contact them for any support in the future.
