Fast service and a fair price

When an order is placed for an item that is out of stock, providing an option would be very helpful. Twice I have ordered an item and found out later the item was out of stock. Now the other items in the order are of no use because a key component is missing. I have began shopping other sites. They are not as competitive on price, but my operation is not stopped because I am not offered an option to the out of stock item.
