Satisfied with their service

We were promised that Scholaro could do course-by-course evaluation from a Danish 8th grade to check for high school credits and they had us pay $259 for that service. After we had paid they simply wrote an email back that they don't provide that service after all and then the only wanted to refund $150 and not $259. So we have paid $109 for absolutely nothing. We have sent them emails to get the full refund but Scholaro doesn't even reply to us. It shows unprofessionalism, that they just want money and therefore there is no trust in them. Very disappointing. This is a matter that concerns our child's school in the US and that has to be taken seriously. Sad to say it has been everything but that.

They replied quickly and kept a polite tone, but the replies avoided giving direct answers to specific questions. When I asked if a PDF transcript from mycreds. ca using a public share link met their official transcript requirement, there was no clear yes or no. Instead, I was told the documents were “under review” and that the evaluator would let me know if anything else was needed. That left me unsure if the requirement had already been met. When my order showed as “under review for completeness” there was no explanation of what that actually meant. I could not tell if this was just payment verification or if they were checking the transcript itself. Even after asking for a step-by-step outline of the process with timelines and what counts as “complete documentation”, there was no detailed reply. I still do not know exactly when the evaluation will be finished or if it is being worked on right now. The issue with the transcript method was also unclear. I had already paid \$20 for a mycreds. ca public share link and uploaded the PDF to Scholaro. The communication left it open whether I also had to pay another \$20 to send it directly by email from mycreds. ca. Both come from the same official source, so without a clear reason why one would be preferred over the other, it feels like an unnecessary extra cost. Scholaro is still a recognised evaluation provider and their portal does let you upload documents, track the order and share the finished report with multiple institutions without extra cost per recipient. The fact that reports can only be shared once they are complete does protect the security of the results. Scholaro’s responses to negative reviews are consistent in structure. They restate the evaluator’s decision, cite accreditation rules or US education standards, and give procedural details such as dates and document issues.
