Being in the wedding industry, I actually met Brooke a while back at the the Big Fake Wedding in SF. Her aesthetic and personality immediately stood out to me. Brooke designed an absolutely perfect engagement ring for my fiancé. My experience working with Porter Gulch was great from start to end – I came in to the process knowing what cut of diamond my fiancé wanted, what her ring size was, what my budget was, and pretty much nothing else. Brooke was able to take a few pictures and ideas I provided and work with me from there to create a beautiful, elegant ring that is both unique and timeless. Plus it was under my budget, I was able to control where the diamonds came from, and I felt involved in the whole design process. Brooke kept me really well informed, so I had a super clear idea of what the ring would look like from the jump, from what the diamonds looked like, to what size they would be on my fiancé’s hand, to the computer-generated design, which looked exactly like the finished ring. I’m not located in San Francisco, and when I started the process I was a little nervous about doing it long-distance, but now that I’ve done it I would absolutely not do it any other way. The entire process was so easy, and Brooke was so upbeat and onboard with my idea of combining my wedding and engagement rings into one. The entire process took just about a month, and I have not stopped staring at my ring - it is absolutely perfect, delicate and unique!

Working with Brooke on my bespoke wedding band was an absolute pleasure, from concept to finished product. I discovered Porter Gulch via a Pinterest post, and immediately reached out. As soon as I saw the pieces on the PG website, I knew that it was a place that could help me realize my vision. After digitally connecting with Brooke and sending her a few photos of the very unconventional wedding band I had in mind, she quickly sent me back a few different sketched ideas. I'm positive I could have been over the moon pleased with any of them-- every single one was stunning. Moving throughout the process with her-- from sketches, to CAD drawings, to 3D printed model, to the finalized band-- was nothing short of awe inspiring. She truly is an artist, and it's a pleasure not just to watch her work, but to participate. She kept me looped in and asked for my feedback every step of the way. After realizing that we would be flying into San Francisco for a Napa wedding over a holiday weekend, Brooke went above and beyond to hand deliver my band to me at a Sonoma winery. Working with Brooke was great, and the resulting ring is beautiful. She was very transparent at each step and communicated the different choices we could make. She met with my fiancée multiple times, and with her mother and sister, then talked me through all the options, making recommendations along the way. My custom engagement ring is absolutely perfect. I came to Brooke with a number of styles I liked, which were (admittedly) all over the place, and she was so wonderful in helping me figure out what details were most important to me. I get so many compliments on it, and even though we've been engaged for a few months now, and I still can't stop looking at it!
