Porter Gulch was nothing short of amazing during the whole process of designing a custom engagement ring. Brooke was incredibly kind, sourced beautiful stones for us, and easily guided us through the process. Although the ready to ship styles are absolutely gorgeous- we highly recommend the custom design process! It was so fun to make something special, unique, and true to us. The ring itself turned out more perfect than I could have imagined. We are looking forward already to going back to Sausalito to visit Porter Gulch again and look for wedding bands. Thank you all! My wife and I visited the new Sausalito site to see some of their sapphire rings in person. Incredible selection. Customer service was warm and knowledgeable. We had planned on buying a ring for our 10th anniversary, but everything felt so right- we decided to jump on it. Stunning workmanship, gem history, beautiful materials. We can’t stop looking at it in different lights!

I worked with Porter Gulch to custom make an engagement ring and wedding bands. Brooke and her team were really helpful when I was picking a design, which I especially needed because I did not know the first thing about jewelry. Purchasing thru the website was seamless and a breeze. I ordered a ready to ship one and it took a couple days to resize, and shipped immediately. Zero complaint and the ring was gorgeous!

They offered exceptional support all the way through, presenting a range of design options, stone sizes, and pricing. They took my suggestions into consideration and integrated them into the end result, which both my partner and I were thrilled with.

My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful experience working with Brooke and Amy to create the perfect engagement ring for me and wedding bands for me and my husband! After a lot of unsuccessful shopping elsewhere, all of the rings started to look the same, until I tried on the Porter Gulch "Astra" ring at a local store. I loved how beautiful and feminine it was, while also somehow feeling both classic and modern. Brooke's design choice of raising the side stones to be at a similar level as the center stone was brilliant and very unique; it allowed the delicate side stones to play a wonderful supporting role in the design without falling into the background. The design also allows a wedding band to sit flush against it!  While I loved the sapphire gold ring in the store, I had my heart set on a white diamond and preferred Platinum. I reached out to Brooke & Amy, who guided us through the process of picking out a diamond and customizing the size of the side stones to complement the center stone. The 3D CAD drawings were very helpful for confirming that the size of the stones was perfect before the ring was cast! I absolutely love my engagement ring, and I'm so happy I found Porter Gulch! I again shopped around for a beautiful & special wedding band that would complement my engagement ring, but not compete too much with it since the engagement ring is so stunning on its own. Nothing on the market did the trick, so I reached out to Brooke to create a custom design for my wedding band. She did a fantastic job! We had an initial discussion, continued to brainstorm/refine the design by email, and the process again culminated in a 3D CAD drawing of the ring, which was even more special than I had imagined. We also had the benefit of seeing the wedding band and engagement ring in the same CAD drawing to make sure the designs looked amazing together and the band sat flush against the engagement ring. Got a sustainably sourced sapphire for the engagement... then wanted to add my grandmother's diamond to a wedding ring (custom job). Both were absolutely stunning. We even got a 3d render of the final product. Could not be happier! This is the quality you want for something that's gonna last a lifetime !
