Very disrespectful response from customer support
I tried cancelling my subscription over 6 months ago. They never cancelled it. I’ve been getting charged but have not once ever received a shipment from them. To shed some light on how customer service looks from this company. This was my response from Carlos when I inquired as to why my order was never cancelled at my request and I’ve been charged for the last several months with no service fulfillment: “all of our customers become alarmingly aware within the first 2 weeks of service of how huge or high volume clientele really is. we even receive new clients daily. You are not the only one who has that specific pedal taste let me tell you, also there was plenty of time to even reach out and update, Many customers who experience delay in 1 week or 2 weeks time usually receive the word from us telling them we experience high volume of clients and your pedal may not be in stock at the moment or with another person at this time. Hence the weekly to bi-weekly addition or removal of few pedals here and there to never cause THIS sort of situation you find yourself in at this current moment in time. So since you did not comply to updating since may 7th, I cant really refund you for being ignorant to our policies and refusing to update a simple Wishlist within 4 months. if you ask me, it sounds like you either did not have the time on your hand/ didn't care to put an effort to add some more pedals to your 6-7 max Wishlist which is VERY small for a service this big with as many customers' as we have. Chalk it up to poor time management because we follow a protocol on whenever this sort of thing happens to update your Wishlist even MINORLY would create a significant chance of consistent pedal shipping/receiving fluid experience. (which many customers experience). “

Pedal Genie won’t give me back my deposit. I keep calling every time OK will take care of it and it never gets taken care of.

Frustrating to cancel
I liked getting pedals but Im frustrated ever since i tried to cancel. Its been a month and nothing has happened. I dont know if or when i will get deposit back or if i will get reimbursed for may and june when i received no pedals. Ive sent emails requesting a call but nothing.

Non-existent customer service
After sending a request for some info six days ago, they sent me an email to share my thoughts on the support. Well, I never got a reply, and that tells you a lot. When you request information before purchasing a product, you need to provide it because that means the customer has some difficulties deciding what product to choose. If you don't get a response before buying, just imagine how it is going to be after purchase. Better stay away.

billing continued on a cancelled account
i cancelled my subscription and got a refund, which was good, but then i was charged again the next month. evidently, the 'account' is not linked to the 'billing' in your system, so it takes the support rep two actions to actually fulfill a request. not a great way to have things set up.

Good compressor, but there are better ones. I kinda liked the additional dirt circuit, but it lacks any real controls. If you have a dirty amp and want to stack it would probably do well. Personally, I liked my Xotic SP Compressor wayyy better.

Great business providing a unique and valuable service
Pedal Genie is a great business with a great product. I was able to try out a lot of different pedals, including some pretty exotic ones, before deciding to make a purchase. I only had one issue. They have a truly excellent selection of pedals, and I understand they can’t have an unlimited inventory. There were often pedals that they listed, however, that I really wanted to try out and just couldn’t get. That doesn’t stop me from giving them a five star rating, though, because the service they offer is truly unique and extremely valuable.;

It's magical
I'm able to try pedals, thoroughly, that I've never seen at any shop before. I wish is known about this before I ever spent any money at all on a pedal. Any to get that "new pedal day" feeling 2 or three times a month? Magical.

Pedal Genie is a fantastic service! They are super quick with shipping and the selection is huge. You’ll never run out of options and it’s a great way to rule out pedals you were otherwise considering buying and wasting money on. Highly recommended!

Pedal Genie is a great idea and allowed me to sample a lot of pedals before making any purchases. I wish a few more brands were stocked and some pedals had a higher availability, but overall I still rank it as a 5 star service.
