The statue of Liberty itself was in good shape but the box had the torch poking through the top (luckily it didn't break in transit) and the plastic insert that it was in - was crushed. We needed it for a gift, so we had to remove the box totally which was a shame as that would have been nice to present a new USA citizen with.
