BEST Experience ever! Never dealt with an online butcher company before. Was kept abreast of order, shipping and shipment details throughout. Product delivered in sturdy box -- think like cotton padding -- everything tucked neatly and with care! As to product cooked: Bison Old World Ground Blend and Inside Round Roast Ground Bison: First thing we noticed is that the density of this product far, far exceeds the ground bison we have been purchasing at the local supermarkets! Experimenting first with making Northstar's Old World Chili that came out FANTABULOUS (highly recommend), I contacted Allie about an increased ratio of organ to ground mix for a little more flavor. She suggested the Ground Blend and, while we originally ordered the One Sixteenth and have A LOT of product still in the freezer, I placed an order the the Ground Blend AND got bold by including a test run order of the Elk Old World Ground Blend to mix with the Bison in the next batch of Old World Chili. :) The Bison Inside Round Roast that came with the 1/16th was made into a Stew last weekend - used pressure cooker. It was good but could have been more tender/fall apart -- will try again using conventional slow cooker method next time.
