Dear Marucci Team, I placed my custom DO34 order on May 31, 2026 (Recipe ID RC5U3EHJ). I’ve now received two bats and both were wrong. I’m writing because I’m disappointed and because the name we share means something to me. The first bat had a glossy finish instead of the matte barrel I ordered and had chips in the paint. After I sent photos as your customer service team requested, you sent a replacement. The replacement arrived today. It is missing the Lizard Skins grip that was part of my original order. It has no cut-out for the Diamond Kinetics insert. It has a dent in the barrel and other finish problems. Photos of both bats are attached. I take real pride in the Marucci name. There are days I’m almost brought to tears when I see Giancarlo Stanton holding a Marucci bat. Same thing when I see a row of Marucci bats in a high school dugout. It hits me every time. I watched the story of how this company started — the one Larry King narrated — and hearing how Jack Marucci and his partners built it with real attention to detail moved me. Since then I’ve been loyal. I’ve recommended your bats to other parents and coaches. My son has used nothing but Marucci since his first custom bat. My son plays high school baseball in New Jersey on one of the top programs in the state. He loves your bats. As his dad, I’ve been proud to give him something that carries our family name. That’s why this has been so disappointing. Two defective bats in a row — missing the grip I paid extra for on the original order, wrong finish on the first one, and damage on the replacement — does not match the standard I expected from a company that carries my name. If your company didn’t have my last name, I probably would have walked away after the first bad bat and never bought from you again. Leather quality is great — glove break in is going well. This will be an infield weapon when finished. Easily on par with A2000/Heart of the Hide, and padded thumb and pinky sleeves make it a very comfortable glove.

This is my 4th Marucci glove - I love the integrated thumb and pinky loops, and the leather on this Cyprus is solid. My one complaint is that the laces are dry and brittle unlike any new glove I have ever purchased. I understand conditioning is necessary but the contrast in texture and feeling of the leather between the glove and the laces is immense.

Quality is top notch

Since this was my first time buying international products, the payment and ordering process was a bit different from Korea, so it was a struggle. However, I’m really happy with how fast the staff resolved my issue.
